tkalfaoglu
I noticed today that a domain showed EXPIRED in WHMCS whereas the invoice that was auto-created for that domain was marked PAID for last year, and this year, no invoice was created. The registrar was set to EMAIL, because there is no automated way to do .TR (Turkish) domain registrations. It seems that if it is set to EMAIL, when the invoice is paid, no expiry date update is done..
sparky
Thats correct... the module will only send you the admin an email so that you can handle the renewal process manually... including updating the expiry and next due dates.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted April 5, 2012 WHMCS CEO Share Posted April 5, 2012 Actually the next due date will still update automatically, as soon as it is paid for, but yes the expiry date won't - that's something you would do only if and when the domain is renewed successfully. Since using the email module makes it a manual process, WHMCS doesn't just assume the renewal has happened as then you might miss it is required. tkalfaoglu
Perhaps a TODO should be set in such cases, so that we do not forget to update its expiry date?
