mikie
Ever since i switched to WHMCS my page rank on the index (home) page has dropped from a PR4 to a PR0. I know many of you dont care but for SEO purposes i do and im pretty POed about it. Took years to get it now its all gone in an instant!!!! I ran AWBS for years and my page rank was PR4. Then i switched to WHMCS poof my page rank is gone. I used the same keywords and everything i could change when i switched. What gives with this? Does anyone have a decent page rank on their WHMCS installation? If so, please show us. I dont believe it! All in all, WHMCS SEO absolutely sucks. How in the world are you people ranking sites with little to no SEO options? Using a front end Wordpress site? That shouldnt be necessary if attention was being paid to SEO. bear
We're not using WHMCS as our front end for our site. It's a billing and support application, and that's what it's used for. If you're using it to have additional pages on the site other than the CR aspect, then it's up to you to make those pages do what you like. I'd suggest that it's possibly because it's a default install and the SE's are seeing it everywhere. Though the plans change, the textual content and presentation are too similar?
tripler
So our "page rank" is fantastic, but I am sorry I will not show you the site. I don't think you even quite understand "seo" the the sounds of it. As the above says, someone would be insane to make WHMCS the front page of something, it is a cms that should be integrated heavily in a already existing site. IE you cant even notice WHMCS if you were to browse our site. In terms of the "seo options" not existing in the program... you are correct, there is the option for seo friendly links in the KB area but thats it... this is where we spent the time in development for integration.. Actually we cant even upgrade WHMCS without completely destroying our site, so we pretty much make our own features or spend a good amount of time vetting updates. Not only does it take alot of integration but it takes alot of time and effort. You are doing it wrong if you just install WHMCS and that is it. "Using a front end Wordpress site? That shouldnt be necessary if attention was being paid to SEO." < What?
Troy
A little extra template code can take care of SEO issues and make WHMCS fine running your entire site. We do it and have a #1 organic ranking for one of our primary targeted (and fairly competitive) key phrases.

FlexiHost
Our complete site is built using WHMCS, PR4 no issues, customers love the layout of the site - must either be some underlying issue, or you just happened to check your PR when G was updating maybe?
mikie
So our "page rank" is fantastic, but I am sorry I will not show you the site. I don't think you even quite understand "seo" the the sounds of it. What do know about what i know? First of all, i am a full time internet marketer. I can rank websites on the 1st page of google in less than a month. Hand bulit, high quality sites that are SEO friendly and ranking where i want them so i can make as much money as i want. For instance, my income is $25k p/m after expenses monthly. So if i knew nothing about SEO then i would be making ziltch as an IMarketer. I dont think anyone around here can boast an income of $25k USD p/m around here. Point is, its all from SEO websites and WHMCS has none of it. Sad! SO before you say i know nothing about SEO think again. The next person may know a bit more about it than you. As the above says, someone would be insane to make WHMCS the front page of something, it is a cms that should be integrated heavily in a already existing site. IE you cant even notice WHMCS if you were to browse our site. Then speak to the WHMCS template developers, the ones who integrate pre made templates like Zomex for instance they are doing it, see their demo. It uses the entire WHMCS application (front end). Whats the pointing in having to run 2 websites? A front End and WHMCS as the backend as you put it. Its totally ridiculous. I can rank websites on the 1st page of google in less than a month. No you cant, if you could you would not be complaining about the years it took you to get a good "pr" also since your so good why cant you use your magic to fix this issue? You should know then that your search rankings dont go away in a"instant". Hand bulit, high quality sites that are SEO friendly and ranking where i want them so i can make as much money as i want. For instance, my income is $25k p/m after expenses monthly. So if i knew nothing about SEO then i would be making ziltch as an IMarketer. Since you make 300k a year for being such a great "IMarketer" you should think about hiring a developer rather than complain about this platform being so bad. Then speak to the WHMCS template developers, the ones who integrate pre made templates like Zomex for instance they are doing it, see their demo. It uses the entire WHMCS application (front end). That would be completely unbranded other than the header and footer. I never said to run two websites. Also anyone who runs WHMCS or a dynamic site like it ... has a front end and a back end... you should know this since your so good at your job. I was simply saying that if you just take the front end of WHMCS (the client area) and skinned it just a little bit rather than integrating the front end into a well designed site then you are not going to have much content, which is how you implied you did it in your OP.

Not to cast any aspersions, but... I dont think anyone around here can boast an income of $25k USD p/m around hereNot believable, I'm afraid. As pointed out, your boast and your post don't quite meet.
