thernes
Curious to hear what other people do when a client has a cancelled or terminated product? Do you leave it in the clients account (perhaps for future promotions against clients who had these products) or do you delete the product from the clients account?
m8internet
I am currently leaving them in place (within WHMCS) and marked as Terminated The client may then want to reactivate it in the future The Invoice and Receipt will also still be in place It doesn't make any difference, so I check the Clients accounts for 0 products each month If there are any such new accounts I then convert them to Inactive
bear
No, the products remain in the account, for our records. There are times they might ask about something in the past, or expect to see the old products in their account.
tripler
yep, we leave everything in tact as well.. however we dont mark anything "terminated" because we want to keep the clients data in case they want to come back, so everything just gets suspended.
bear
Products get terminated when they are terminated on the server (in the case of hosting products). As they'd need to be reinstalled to be activated, marking them suspended won't help for those. You try to unsuspend a terminated hosting account, and it won't do anything but complain. That is, unless you're only suspended accounts forever, in the hopes they return...taking up space and backup space, adding to the hosting overhead and so on.
