KJVHost
How does WHMCS register domains? (Sorry, totally new... never used the software before...)
0 bear
You set up an account with a registrar (Enom, for instance), then set up WHMCS to use that to deal with domains by adding pricing and your user and pass for the registrar (Enom also requires the IP that will be connecting to provision domains). That's about it.

0 KJVHost
Yes, I also help out over there. I see, I also see that enom has a fee. Figures. I'm think seriously about just tossing in the towel on this small biz idea. Too many fees.
0 bear
I see, It sounds as though that upsets you (yes, I know you from there). The two forums are separate, and have absolutely nothing to do with each other. I also see that enom has a fee. Figures. Enom's fee is actually a deposit that's then used towards registering the domains in your account. A larger prepay gets you a better price. That being said, WHMCS offers accounts under them at this link. If deciding on that provider, that might be a viable option for you. Another provider might be something better suited for you to get started, if that won't work. I believe NEO (NetEarthOne) has no deposit and they used to have an "Easter Egg" on the site to get a free upgrade to a higher tier for free. I didn't like the interface there, but through WHMCS and it's definitely workable. Quite a few to choose from, so don't base all your thoughts on only Enom, who has gotten far more expensive for lower tiers over the past few years. If not for the large number of names I have there, I'd consider moving. Up to you if you decide not to offer these, but domains help keep clients interested and make it convenient for them to use me for more than one thing only.

The two forums are separate, and have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Nope, not at all. At least not with you. What bothers me is this, As you remember, I had another account, you merged the two. because of that, I had a few more "infractions" than one would if he were a regular newbie. Well, one of your other moderators there; who is obvious on some sort of idiotic power trip tagged me with an infraction, which I thought was absolutely stupid and actually fascist in manner. Because of that, I cannot logon to WHT until March. Again, It is not about you at all. But about a forum, which is owned my iWeb and has an idiotic rule system; one that could land them in court in litigation suit. I'll look into it at some point, right now, I just do not have it to spare. Thanks, -Pat
