iPH - Sriram
btw how do we use gmail pop using pipe as mentioned in the dev tracker dev.whmcs.com : Issue number : 287
MyLama
Google Apps is a great suite of tools, and we offer integration free to all of our clients (Windows and Linux), but I'm not sure it's something I would want behind my billing system. That's not to say it's good enough for our clients but not for us, just that it does get buggy at times, particularly with IMAP and POP. There's also been issues with delays (a la Exchange), but they are pretty rare and tend to resolve quickly enough. Anyways, for the average customer who is using it to collaborate with team members, a rare delay here and there or occassional funny POP/IMAP issues are an acceptable trade off for what Google offers on the whole. But, Standard or Premium Edition, I wouldn't put it behind a mission critical app (WHMCS). Just my 2c. MyLama
iPH - Sriram
Ya i understand that. But my problem is i'm a reseller and will be out of office most of the time. I use my PDA to check the emails and reply to them. And at times, my laptop. So i wanted IMAP functionality which was available in Google Apps. So i'd to switch to them. And moreover, i'd configured it to most of my clients some having a user database of more than 1000 and they have been very happy with the facility what google is providing. I've never experienced any delays in emails. So i made a switch. But now i'm facing problems configuring WHMCS with google apps. Anybody else can advise if there is any alternate solutions to configure google apps with whmcs..? Regards, Sriram

Juanzo
I've followed all the steps involved and after I run the pipe/pop.php I get the following message: POP Import Log Date: 05/05/2008 00:58:09Host: pop.gmail.com Email: clientes@domain.com (domain replaced with the correct domain name) Email Count: 1 The email count is correct and everything seems ok, except that there is no ticket generated. Do you guys know what could be wrong?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted May 5, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted May 5, 2008 Take a look in Utilities > Ticket Mail Import Log and you should see the reason for a ticket not being created there. Matt
Juanzo
Awesome. I found there that the problem was I was using Google Apps test email. Everything works fine now except that the new tickets created do not appear. I've submitted a ticket for this so thanks everyone for the help.

leisegang
have you enabled pop or/and imap support on your gmail account?
craigge
have you enabled pop or/and imap support on your gmail account? Yes, I definitely have, in fact to test, I tried it against other google apps domains I have that are also enabled for pop/imap. (I have connected from other pop/imap clients successfully) Have others definitely got this working with google apps?? Additionally, I have tried with a straight gmail account and get the same error. Could it be something on the host itself? I'm running WHMCS 3.6.1 (upgraded recently). Thanks Mr-E
