Sveken
Hi, I know this is a bit of a dumb question but i can't find the answer but. When a client signs up the Cpanel password is a random password and is different to the password the client sets in WHMCS. Is there anyway for it to be the same? Many Thanks,
m8internet
Yes, they can modify this themselves (if you give them permissions in WHMCS and cPanel) In WHMCS they LogIn to their account and follow the link to My Account In cPanel the change password is in the Preferences menu Add the instructions into your Knowledgebase
Sveken
Thanks, but right at the moment it is randomly generated, anyway for the default password that WHMCS sets cpanel to be the same as the one they signed up with?
Damo
You could achieve this by creating a custom hook that sets the password of the new cPanel account to that of the WHMCS password. Of course, the login (username) will still be different as WHMCS uses an email address and cPanel an 8 character string. Your clients can log in to WHMCS and then click the cPanel login button for the associated web hosting account. That way they don't need to know the password.
