Tiered Pricing

Question

I'm familiar with WHMCS from hosting related projects. I now want to sell something else to similar clientele and I'm hoping WHMCS can accommodate configuring the product. Essentially I'm selling one non-hosting product... call it a widget. Typically customers will order these in large sets. I want to be able to set a price per widget in tiered groups. So for example I want an order of 1 – 250 to be $.75 a widget, 251 – 500 = $.50 a widget and so on. This widget will also have several configurable options. I need the additional cost per option/widget to follow similar rules for these tiers, i.e. Option A adds $.09 a widget for 1 – 250 and $.06 for 251 – 500 and so on. These orders are then passed on to a manufacturer for fulfillment.

Is this something that WHMCS can do? Can it do it in a fashion that is clear to the customer? Is there perhaps a better way to set this up?

I looked around the forums and didn't find anything related... hopefully this hasn't been covered elsewhere.
