BobC
Is there a way to have a client be able to register 2 free domains with their order instead of just 1? This is weird. I was going to ask this identical question myself today. So now I don't have to...

Cyberbite
How about a complex yes?! Currently I give away two domains and even though customers are told to put the second domain in the comments section, some add a second domain to the cart and get charged for the domain. This has caused some people to not sign up.
othellotech
Complex answer - yes There are a variety of methods, the simplest being a post-payment hook which creates a unique voucher for 100% off a domain registration, and emails it to the client ...
Nexxterra
why would you want to give free things? you are in business, I assume to make money. I am guessing you are a reseller with little overhead, so this may work out initially, however, remember the QUALITY of customer you get from offering "free" is not usually one that sticks around.
R-n-R
why would you want to give free things? you are in business, I assume to make money.I am guessing you are a reseller with little overhead, so this may work out initially, however, remember the QUALITY of customer you get from offering "free" is not usually one that sticks around. Well, not sure about the OP, but FREE is a powerful word. One is not necessarily giving it away for FREE but the illusion of free. Good example is most any ecommerce site on the net know days just about has to give really LOW shipping (on tangible products) or FREE shipping to compete. Well we all know that the shipping isn't cheap, UPS, FedEx and others charge a good amount for shipping. So what you have to do is add that cost into your overall dollars you will bring in and package and market that gives the buyer the idea he is getting a great deal. End game the Domain Name really isn't free, well that is if done correctly.
m8internet
why would you want to give free things? you are in business, I assume to make money This is known as a loss leader product The initial product or sale makes a loss, but other products or services for sale make much larger profits For example is coffee, which is typically sold at or below cost However supermarkets assume you will also purchase sugar and milk, both of which make more profit in terms of sales volume Giving a free Domain Name may tie the customer into hosting for a set minimum amount of time, but there is no guarantee they will renew I have seen some providers have additional terms hidden, meaning that a additional fees apply to transfer the Domain Name away Generally in this sector I believe customers much prefer transparency and up front details of all costs I stopped doing free offers a few years ago I can accept offering one Domain Name for free with hosting, but why two or more?
Nexxterra
The word free is the attraction, once you get their attention and give them their valuable gift, in this case a domain name, the offer of a second for free is just giving profit away. They took the bait now they are yours....
