Domain Registrars test mode not as simple as ticking the box...

Hi

With the stargate module, I ticked the Test mode box, then processed an order and it went through (lost a few bucks when I had to delete the domain within the grace period).

I then saw the knowledge base explaining that Enom test mode requires a separate account on their test server.

If this is the case for other registrars such as resell.biz, you should put a comment next to the test mode option warning it is so.

Either that, or resell.biz just doesn't support the test mode at all?

regards

Tom

No this isn't a bug, not in WHMCS at least. All logicboxes registrars do require a separate account for their test environment, but unlike any other domain registrar, if you send a request to the test API URL, but with the login details of a live account, then they seem to just assume it was intended to be a live request and process it via the live system. So I'd say it was a bug on LogicBoxes side if anything.

What about adding a note next to the checkbox warning that a separate account is needed for testing? From working on e-commerce carts, when setting up a payment gateway, the test mode just emits some info from the order so that it doesn't get processed. I assumed this would do the same.
