quicklyweb
I am having little issue with paypal subscription payments. I don't know why whmcs is not creating invoice before the payment for products which paid with paypal subscriptions.
Adam
Hey, WHMCS doesn't create invoices for PayPal Subscription. To start a new subscription the client have to login to the client area, chose his or her product and then click the "Create Subscription" link. quicklyweb
I don't see the logic in not creating invoices before subscription payment is received. Can someone actually explain me the point of it.
MACscr
there is no good logic, i agree completely that it should be done.

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted June 14, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted June 14, 2007 The logic is two fold: 1. The client does not need to pay anything - an issue when looking at how MB does it, is that you get an invoice, can pay that invoice, then the subscription occurs, and you've double paid 2. If there was a pay button on the invoice, there could be only one subscription setup for the product. Therefore any addons and domains would not be able to be paid by subscription if for example product is paid monthly and addons quarterly and domain annually. At the moment, a seperate subscription can be created for each. Matt
alexrobonline
Hi Matt, I've just run a test order for an existing customer of ours via the frontend of the website. For some reason, the backend of the system won't let me use a coupon/promo code when ordering in admin mode, so I had to run the signup via the frontend. Everything went fine, but I chose PayPal subscription as the payment method. As documented above, no invoice was created, but I - as the "customer" performing the transaction - was transported to the PayPal page, to make payment. How can I make a signup, using a coupon - thereby having to go through the frontend myself, as coupons can't be used via the backend order function - and the PayPal Sub method, which will then create an invoice? I hope the above is clear, and thanks in advance for your replies. Alex
