lahost
Hi. I need to prevent cpanel password change by customers when they ask for password reset. I need that just the whmcs customer area password be changed but not the cpanel password because I have customers that rent the system and they shouldn´t have access to the files. I could not informing the user+password for cpanel, but every blocking in case of overdue invoice must be done manually. Is there another way? Thanks a lot. Mauro.
opt2bout
I too have several packages that are "software as a service" and need to limit the activity to accounting/billing within WHMCS. Is there any way to modify the cPanel package template to hide the user-id and password to the front-end and make it accessible to admins only on the back-end?
m8internet
Try this Login to WHMCS Go to the client account Select the Products/Services tab Remove the password then Save changes Login to WHM reseller account Select the same product/service as above, and change the password (note this changes all passwords) Select the appropriate items where the password does not need to be changed, such as FTP, and replace the password with the authorised password The customer now only has access to their WHMCS Client Account, and cannot see the password for cPanel, and only has access to FTP They also cannot access cPanel This just leaves the Lost Control Panel password reset, through the Client Area You will need to manually remove this and all customers will have to request the cPanel password through a Support Ticket Edited August 19, 2011 by m8internet
