9DollarDomains
Hi. Is there an easy way to re-process a number of renewals? We have our eNom account set to auto refil, which it does fine - BUT sometimes when our balance is down to $200 (still above our refill trigger) and then someone comes and renews 40 domains at once - that'll renew the first half of them, but then generate an "Purchase price is greater than available balance" error on the last half. eNom will then immediately refill the account, but then I have 20 domains to handle manually. I'd like to just say ''retry all the failed stuff'' or to be able to select those 20 items in the ToDo list and retry them - is there a way to do that, or is each of these a manual task now? Obviously a solution is to have larger refills and a higher trigger - so that this is less likely - but I thought there might be a 'retry' function I'm missing somewhere. Thank you.
othellotech
They'll have failed at enom and in WHMCS It's a manual task to "fix" - find each to-do item, open each in a new window Copy the domain name, search for it in whmcs, click renew Fix reset the nextdue/expiry dates Set the to-do as completed You can just copy&paste them all into a mass-renew at enom, but that wont check/fix any date based problems, and you'll still need to complete the todo items And yes, the "solution" is to keep a min-balance at the registrar of a higher level to match your expected throughput in any given period (say 4-6 weeks)
9DollarDomains
Hi. Thank you Rob. I was hoping there would be an easier way on a whole batch of them like this. We have one fail for unknown reasons from time to time, so fixing those manually isn't that big of a deal. In these occasional batches of 40 or 50 (or 112 one times) registrations/renewals, if those catch our eNom balance off guard, then it would be nice to have the abilitiy to 'continue' the process after it refills. I have a $400 trigger balance at eNom now, so this will make it less likely to happen - but still, 112 renewals at one time would still clean out a $600 balance and then fail for the last half of them anyway - so a feature where I could click on items like this in the 'ToDo List' and 'RETRY' them would be a good feature. In any case, thank you Rob.
jblairjoly
I agree with you, that could be a great feature because I see the same sometime on our site and it is time consuming to renew them manually...
