3awh
Need help on this i searched and couldn't find an answer. I provide phpBB Mod install Services, That said, its hard to quote a price with out asking what mods are installed and their version of phpBB and other particulars. I have a form now in WP (contact Form 7) that I reply back with how much it will be. I would like to move this to WHMCS so there is an order Now that I write it out I should just use the order form I have remove the items that is a fixed price and call it a quote forum. What do you think? The other problem would be taking the info I need from the order form now and putting it into the WHMCS Order form. here is the order form I use now http://www.phpbbmodinstalls.com/orderform.html I'm not sure how I should proceed.
newgenservices
You can probably let your prospect submit a sales ticket and then create a quote for their requirements in WHMCS which on accept by your prospect, can be converted to an invoice with a single click. If your pricing depends on certain fixed factors, you can even try configurable options for a product.

That's exactly how we do it for web development projects as well and it works just fine

Eric Seiler
I think the sales form is a good idea, so if that works for you, then do that. Another idea is to add custom fields to an estimate product. I just implemented that today, and it seems to work pretty well. The biggest advantage and disadvantage is basically the same. You'll force the user to fill out a lot more information.
3awh
I found a Plugin for wordpress that does invoicing and the user can click the link that was sent to them with the invoice and pay for the item. It takes WHMCS out of the equation for the Mod install side but I will still useWHMCS for Domains, SSL, and add on's for enom, That is If they every straighten out 2 checkout support
