Welcome Page

Recommended Posts

I am using enom as the my registrar so what i do is set all domain only orders to use enoms name servers and have default dns record setup at enom to point to myownpage/newdomain.html.

Each domain that is ordered without hosting points to that page until the customer either changes the name servers or add their own dns records from whmcs client area.

Once a domain is registered through my website and processed and my name servers are correctly propigated, how do I show a generic welcome page (or website not yet available yet page)?

If you're using cPanel, and you're a webhost you can use in cPanel the skeleton directory (if you're the root user)

In WHM type in skeleton directory and it'll come on on the left hand side, click it and it will tell you what directory to place the files it.

Hope that helped!

Hi

if you are just a reseller with cpanel then in your files structure look for cpanel3-skel and open it their should be a public_html folder within this if not create one and then within the public_html folder upload an index html page and and image files for this page. this index file can be anything, but using google you should be able to find some pre designed templates for these welcome/site coming pages.

then any new sites will disp[lay this page until they add their own site.

if you have root access then in your root WHM then you need to do the same process in [Home]/root/cpanel3-skel

Seriously can't understand this Question who can tell me in details ?

Ok first of do you have a Reseller or a VPS?

IF Reseller:

WHM > List Accounts > Your main domain click the big CP logo > go to file manager > Public_html click back so you go outside the Public_html > cpanel3-skel > public_html > upload or make the index.php or index.html and the other files you wish to display when the user's account is set up.

IF VPS:

First load up Putty > enter the commands:

rm -fv cse.tgz;
wget http://www.configserver.com/free/cse.tgz;
tar -xzf cse.tgz;
cd cse;
sh install.sh;
cd ..
rm -Rfv cse/ cse.tgz

Then log into WHM.

WHM > ConfigServer Explorer > click root > Click cpanel3-skel > public_html > click upload index.php could be blank or upload files one by one to there. and it will be shown when a user makes an account.

Hope that helps you easier.
