jeremyhaber
Have you tried google? There are thousands of tutorials for all those CMS's. Next up have you tried lynda.com or net.tutsplus.com?
Alistair
Best way to learn in my experience is trial and error. Seeing as Joomla and Word Press are free, it won't be expensive to play around with. Also the Joomla forum is a really good place to ask questions you can't find answers to.
redham
Hi, A very popular author for Joomla is Barry North. I have his book "Joomla a User's Guide" (for Joomla 1.5) He has a new edition that is for Joomla 1.6 that has just came out. You can find them on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Joomla-1-6-Building-Successful-Powered/dp/0132487063 I'm a old fart and I still like having printed reference when learning new material. I haven't really got deep into the book yet but it seems well written and easily understood so far.
zomex
It really depends on how you prefer to learn. Some people find it easier to watch video tutorials, some prefer to read tutorials and others find it easier to dig right in. I've always found Youtube to be pretty good. You may also wish to take a look at lynda.com for video tutorials.
