schwim
Hi there guys, Someone subscribed for 12 months of package A($10.00 a month-total paid $120.00). 4 months into the subscription, they realized that what they really need is package b($14.00 a month-total paid $168.00). They're 4 months into it so they've got 8 months left of their original subscription. What would be the best way to handle the upgrade? Should I have them pay the difference in a one time payment, then cancel their subscription at the end of the subscription period and have them create a new order with package b when it's time to renew? thanks, json
PPH
So far it's what we have done with the last three upgrades this month. Matt said he is working on an upgrade solution for a future release Hope it includes the ability to create a new subscription at the time of upgrade.

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted May 1, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted May 1, 2007 In answer to your original question, no, there's no way the recurring amount of a subscription can be changed, so even with the automated package upgrades system, this will take the client to setup a new subscription and they will need to cancel the old one. othellotech
In answer to your original question, no, there's no way the recurring amount of a subscription can be changed, Presumably thats a PayPal limitation ? WorldPay futurepays can be altered by the merchant for future billing (although my preference even then would be for a new one to be setup for reporting reasons)
schwim
Unless Paypal has changed, it is a shorcoming(security feature???) on their part. I've seen people alter subscriptions, but it has to be done on the client side. The vendor can't alter a subscription. thanks, json
