Paypal Subscriptions For existing Customer

Hey Guys hopefully someone can help me out.

So here is the problem. I have user who signed up for a service that is payed monthly. They used a payment option that doesn't do recurring payments. Now they would like to sign up for a paypal subscription. How can i do this. Right now when the invoice gets generated for the month if the user chooses paypal for the option they don't get the subscription button but a regular checkout button. I would like the subscription button to show up like when a new user signs up.

So is it possible to take a current customer and make them pay with paypal subscription or is that only for new customers.

Hopefully that made sense

Thanks in advance

Go to the Payment Gateways under the Setup tab in Admin and then go to the PayPal tab in there tick the box:

Modify Subscriptions Allows subscribers to modify their current subscriptions or sign up for new ones

Thanks for the suggestion but I've tried that and all it does is show the user the checkout button and not the subscription button. So when they click on it, it just brings them to paypal to pay but not set up a subscription.

Thanks i already had that checked but i just figured out my issue. So here is what the solution was if you can call it a solution hahaha for anyone else.

So if you have a user who has been invoiced and then they go to pay past the due date then they won't see the subscribe button. Just change the due date to a date in the future and you should be good to go. But also remember that this will screw up your billing dates so you will need to change the dates in your whmcs to match the subscription dates.
