Hi guys, i have seen many web hosting companies using Kayako as their support system with WHMCS.

The benefit i see using kayako with WHMCS is that we get support system + knowledge base + live chat system. (with some extra features)

All these things are already in WHMCS but using Kayako with WHMCS makes any difference? I mean increase in sales, look of customer portal etc etc

Does it actually worth paying extra $39 / Month for Kayako ?

Well, we had it before purchasing WHMCS (came from modernbill). Its a great setup but the integration into WHMCS leaves something to be desired. The livesupport is OK, but there are better ones out there.

Supportsuite by itself is a great piece of software.

we had it but its not worth it,

the login integration was third party had issues with it and getting help was not worth the hassles any more

Whmcs now has the same thing all built in and ran us$89 I think one time and no worries about seperate logins

I agree, Now WHMCS have almost everything in it for just $15 per month. It would be great if WHMCS improves knowledge base and ticket system little bit more.

The V4 of Kayako is not supporting WHMCS right now and they have no plans to do it for at least 3 to 4 months. So it's better to stick with WHMCS.

Not sure what you guys are talking about, but the support system built-in to WHMCS doesn't hold a candle to Kayako.

The login integration was developed by Kayako, but its not all that good.. It uses PHP includes rather than interfacing with an API or directly with the database which would be better.

your poll does not allow for users who just thing WHMCS is OK as is and do not need other support services.

We used Kayako for 2 years and yes there is an integration however it doesnt share logins

there was a third party bridge that did work with the shared logins ( most of the time ) however when we upgraded whmcs and kayako it stopped working and there was NO support forth coming.

and as someone that has used both kayako and now uses the whmcs system ( the add on created by the dev team )

I can tell you that they wrok pretty much the same

WHMCS + WHMCS Live Chat Addon is WHMCS as is it. Live Chat Addon is part of WHMCS :)

No its NOT

WHMCS does not come with a LIVE Chat, this is just and Addon.

WHMCS comes with a support ticket system, which some feel is adequate, but the poll does not allow for these members to give their vote to leave WHMCS as is.

We used Kayako for a couple of years (owned license). Since 2nd quarter 2010, we have stopped using Kayako. Aside from a few things like seperate fields for hours billed in tickets, etc it is pretty much the same. The techs are much happy not having to login to multiple systems as well. (I'd still love to see a field for hours billed vs. amount in the ticket system someday in the future.)

After reading alot of threads on different forum and due to lack of features in Stardevelop Live Help Messenger (WHMCS LIve Chat Addon) we decided to purchase kayako support suite.

We are planning to use Kayako for general Support(Non-Technical ) and WHMCS as a tech support for our clients.....

I think it's better to use WHMCS system ONLY for clients with web hosting or some other services. For other services or general issues Kayako is best....

Been using WHMCS for years with Kayako. Kayako is simply the best support solution out there. WHMCS is the best sistem for web hosting billing. That's what they do. Kayako focuses on support.

As long as development on the module doesn't stop, WHMCS + Kayako will always be the cream of the crop

If you want to spend the rest of your life living with bugs Go ahead and use kayako

I know that kayako have alot of bugs but i think V3 is much stable and have very few bugs in it. But V4 is complete mess.

The is no match of WHMCS support system if you want it to use it ONLY for your web hosting clients.

We are using Kayako as well because we want to keep our web hosting & other stuff separate. For Example Clients will use WHMCS support system for tech, sales and their billing support. and Kayako will be used by Clients & Visitors for any general inquiry or copyright complaints, abuse, etc etc...

Moreover i also noticed that Live Help Messenger (WHMCS Live Chat Addon) is not much stable and there is lack of features. That's the big reason for us to use kayako...

I can't say we've run into any Kayako bugs in a very long time, and while the integration with WHMCS isn't great it certainly does what it needs to do without any problems.

With v4 having a full API, developing something that is way more complete should be doable.
