WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 1, 2010 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 1, 2010 Today, July 1st, 2010, VeriSign®, the registry for .COM and .NET, will increase prices – .COM will go up 7%, and .NET by 10%. The increase will be passed to registrars like Enom and then, unfortunately, to resellers like most of you. If you are a reseller directly with Enom then they are increasing their prices by $0.55 in response to this change. However, for any resellers who signed up through us, we will be absorbing some of that increase on our side and so WHMCS resellers will find an increase of just $0.30. Attention eNom Reseller: Earlier this year, VeriSign Registry announced that they would be raising prices for select domain name extensions. The price increase will go in to effect on July 1st, 2010. As a result of this price increase, eNom is in the unfortunate position of having to pass this price increase down through our Reseller channel. We regret that we have to raise our prices as a result of VeriSign's decision. It is our goal to continue to deliver extremely competitive domain name pricing complemented with quality value-added services to our customers, and we will continue to work hard to meet your needs. Sincerely, Chris Sheridan Vice President, eNom® chris.sheridan@enom.com Matt

netearth
The actual registry fees put up by Verisign were in fact 48 cents for .COM and 42 cents for .NET.
azaleatech
Matt, Is the $0.30 increase for resellers who signed up through WHMCS for all TLDs, or is it just for .NET and .COM (the TLDs on which VeriSign made increases)? For the sake of avoiding confusion, what are the actual increase amounts for all TLDs for resellers who signed up through WHMCS? Please list each TLD, the increase amount, the previous price and the new price. It would be very help to have a document of this type posted as a reference for all Enom resellers who signed up through WHMCS. Regards, Ben Roberts Azalea Technology, LLC.

azaleatech
Cant you just login to your account and check? You are correct that I can see the current prices when logging into my reseller account at the Enom Web site, but there is absolutely no indication which TLD prices changed or by how much. The problem is the price increase introduced by VeriSign is not the same as the price increase introduced by Enom, which is also not the same as the price increase applied to Enom resellers who signed up though WHMCS. The amount of the increase and the affected TLDs differ in almost all the cases. Altogether, this makes for a confusing mess of information for resellers to digest. Enom's price increases differ (i.e. apparently far more expansive) than those announced by VeriSign as effective July 1. This is why I think the publication of a pricing increase list would be beneficial for Enom resellers who signed up through WHMCS.
