jared555
How does WHMCS handle account creation on plesk? Is a separate customer account created for every single account a person has, or just a new domain account?
0 trine
The relationship is one to many ... Meaning, one WHMCS account can have multiple hosting accounts.
0 jared555
No, what I mean is plesk has customer accounts and domain accounts. It appears that WHMCS creates both the customer account and a domain account under it. I was wanting to know if whmcs would create one plesk customer account for all of a customer's domains combined, or one per domain account. I am not talking about the customer account on WHMCS
0 trine
I haven't tried it yet with a plesk box, but am pretty sure it will create a plesk user for each new account. Doing one to many on plesk would require a few other variables to be stored in WHMCS, which they are not. So what you noted should be correct. Matt, can you confirm this is the default functionality.
0 WHMCS CEO Matt Posted March 25, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted March 25, 2007 Yes, that is correct. Each domain would get it's own client account. Matt
0 Paul
Yes, that is correct. Each domain would get it's own client account. Matt That's not such a good thing. The way that Plesk is supposed to work is that resellers have accounts. Not the clients themselves. The custommers only have a domain and access to the control panel. If you explore in details, you'll see that a cclient account has the possibility to undisable certain features and "rig" stuff more than you'd want a shared hosting account custommer to have.
0 webarama
Paul, that depends on the permissions you assign to that client. If you don't want your clients making changes, don't give them the permissions to do so. I am happy to discuss (explain) this in more detail if required.
0 eugenevdm
That's not such a good thing. I agree. Existing signups shouldn't get new accounts. Their existing accounts should be re-used and only new domains created.
