one product, multiple set up fees

Guys and Gals,

I have some products where the set up fee differs. Depending on what customer is doing (new signup or moving from another provider) the set up cost is different. Is there an easy way to set this up or is it as I think and having two products (ie product 1a and product 1b).

Thought I would check here before I spend the time added them all he he.

A workable solution for me would being able to edit the new signup in 3.1 so that they can select a product. I can then manually add it.

Thanks,

one way with just 1 product would be to offer a discount voucher to those moving from another provider

another would be instead of a setup fe have a product addon witg the selections of

new client

moving hosts

etc and associate the prices to that, then removing that addon afer the client signs upi so they dont pay it again

but the "neatest" way is going to be to have two almost identical products, one which is not selectable by the client, and link to it on your "migration from another provider" paragraph

I know this topic is fairly old, but I too would be interested in seeing something similar as to what ModernBill offers.

The way they have this set up is that if a site administrator decides to add a new package and offer different setup fees, they can have a package addon increase the setup fee and reduce a specified amount from the monthly/quarterly/yearly fee.

It would make things so much easier, instead of having to have people add all new packages to offer one item with different payment options.
