SpookedOut
Hi, I found a free, small, easy to use and easy to integrate Live support script to day. http://phponline.dayanahost.com/ You can also download a phpOnline Desktop for Windows (98/NT/2000/XP/2003) Hope someone have use for this! This particular 'free' live support system has an extremely weird way of interacting with the end-user client. I myself don't find it professional to work with. I suggest Kayako Live Support or PHPLive (Non-Hosted Version )
joe123
this is good as well and they have a free version http://www.activecampaign.com/triolive/ it has what some systems don't , the ability to see what the client is typing before he submits it during chat.
trine
we checked that (activecampaign) out, and seems to be a bit of a resource hog. otherwise the features are nice.

trine
yes david, craftysyntax uses ajax to do that.
othellotech
we checked that (activecampaign) out, and seems to be a bit of a resource hog. otherwise the features are nice. they all are to some extent, although load drops considerably if the sales staff use the windows client to chat not the web interface, and you can tweak some of the ajax'y settings (like telling the end user someones typing) etc. overall I'm very pleased with it
Anders
i am using skype as live support as you can have more and one account on your pc now, and also works only with chat if you dont want to use voice.

PPH
Part of the X-cart team of stuff. I set it up for a customer and it is way to resource intensive and SLOW....IMHO

uberhost
your limited to 8 chats a day with their free version. For those with a "mom and pop" business, that's probably a good thing, lol. I like Live Help Messenger personally. Of course it isn't free, but at least it's a one-time cost and then free upgrades for life.
nibblesmctwitch
this is good as well and they have a free version activecampaign.com/triolive/ it has what some systems don't , the ability to see what the client is typing before he submits it during chat. This one looks interesting
othellotech
the "live preview" is good, but somewhat of a resource hog - fine if you set aside a dedicated server for your support system(s) [highly recommended] by a killer to a VPS/shared hosting box. we've been using trio live sice it was first developed and been very happy with it - still some featires I'd like to see changed/implemented (i'd like to see the page the client is "calling from" rather than a truncated link - as often they're asking about a specific knowledgbase article) being the most obvious one.
