northshore
I am currently choosing a hosting reseller package to use with my design & hosting business. My use case is this - clients will contact me with a design brief and I design the site, register the domain and create the host account via my reseller account. I do all this myself. Once complete I then ask the client to go to my site and sign up to the relevant subscription service. I can then either hand over the (already created cpanel account) to them, or keep it if they instruct me to look after content management. Can whmcs this case?
disgruntled
yes, is very simple you create the account in whmcs instead of whm, you do this on your own account within whmcs. once your work is done you as your client to register an accout n your system http://youdomain/yourwhmcs/register.php. Once this is done its simply a case of getting your client to provide email confrimation that they accept your terms and conditions (cover ur own ass) on confirmation, Goto your admin area in whmcs, find your personal client account and choose the product/service that you have built your clients account on on the top right of the product block you will see a link to tranfer to another client, click it choose the client from the dropdown click transfer, thats it, your client has the cpanel details from their whmcs account and your job is completed
bear
Or, have them create the WHMCS account, sign up for the design package, you create the WHM account (but no invoice yet) from WHMCS but choose not to send the login details. Change the due date for the package to something in the future so it doesn't generate an invoice until you're ready. Register the domain and invoice for it (unless it's free with the design package) so you're paid for the domain registration. Complete the job, invoice for the design and hosting, they pay, you send all logins.
