PHP Mail() Problem for version 4.2.1

Hi,

Recently I upgraded my system to version 4.2.1. Before this upgradation, the mail system was working fine.

All the notification mails to the client regarding the support tickets in my system, and the notification mails to the support executives after closure of the corresponding support tickets, were working fine.

I am using the "PHP Mail()" as the method for sending Mails.

Also in the Activity Log, I was getting these sorts of errors:-

1. Email Sending Failed - Could not instantiate mail function. (User ID: 396 - Subject: Your new password for mydomain.com)

2. Email Sending Failed - Could not instantiate mail function. (User ID: 396 - Subject: Domain Registration Confirmation).

My main Concern Area is:-

When any Client is creating a support ticket, a mail is received by all the Administrators / Support staff.

But the client does not receive any mail.

Again, when the client or the support staff replies to the ticket, no mail gets fired.

Similar case happens when the ticket is closed, but this time the Administrators also does not receive any mails about the closure of the ticket.

Please anybody help me into this.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Anutosh
