Gateway Module building help!

We have a need to build a gateway module for our WHMCS so we can use our MES Merchant Services account already established. We did ask WHMCS for this Module but was told they could not provide it, and to build our own as it is relatively simple...... "Just download and use the Gateway Module Template provided" .... easy as pie. We did download it, and did try to use it. But because we are not PHP fluent this has been more of a challenge that we can accomplish.

So we are looking for any or all help from the WHMCS community to help build this gateway module. We are not looking to profit from this build as we are not going to use Ioncube to lock it up but leave it an open source coding to benefit others down the road who have a similar need.

As we informed WHMCS's staff MES Merchant Services (in USA) is currently processing all 2CheckOut, Authorize.Net, PayFlow and more WHMCS's module transactions through their gateway now. This being said, it would be less work to build on what modules are already working. So if you have a gateway module that is currently working, maybe you could help us push through this project and help others in the process.

All helpful thoughts and suggestions are certainly welcome!

Thanks for reading! :!:
