Conditional mandatory product Addon OR surcharge module

Recommended Posts

Hi,

When we sell a hosting only product we add a surcharge right now. I have been thinking how todo this within WHMCS but not found an answer yet.

Ideas but as far as I can tell not possible:

1) Conditional addon product. Add an mandatory addon product automaticly when there is no domain registered.

2) Surcharge module; Add amount X when hosting only

90% of invoices go by email. 10% by snail mail. We add a subcharge for this.

A surcharge module would cover this but right now I dont know how todo it.

Regards,

Michel.

Ok; have been busy.

Solution for the hosting only is:

1) Make a product addon.

2) Make it mandatory when no tranfers or register domain is chosen

3) Make check in cart that order cannot be processed before the addon is selected(otherwise it would be free)

I had another problem; I want every domain to belong to one product.

So you can add domains to the cart but in the cart I make sure that every domain is connect to a product and that every hosting product has a domain(or hosting only)

I have a solution for the snail mail surcharge now.

I can add a custom field to my client wich he can toggle by hiself.

He can choose if he wants the invoice by snail mail. If so I add a charge to the invoice with the With the InvoiceCreated hook hook. I also will make a print function for myself to print all invoices with this charge in it.
