Silly question, I'm guessing...

I've just imported all of my accounts from cpanel into whmcsEverything worked great.

Now, how do I find and give everyone their password to their great new client area of whmcs? Is this something I need to do myself for each client, or was something imported?

Thanks!

Also, as a sidenote, is there a way to add another column to the client list?

Well to answer your first question when you did a import depending on witch control panel you used to import the passwords where also imported.

So my suggestion for your next steps is to assign each account that you just imported to each of your customers providing all your customers have an account already in WHMCS if not then either ask them to register a account or do it for them.

Now that this is done when you imported each account WHMCS should have automatically created dummy customer accounts for you to assign those accounts to your real customers just find the domain you imported and "Merge" that account with that of the real customer.

Now when the real customer logs into their client area it will show the account information to them that you merged with that account. And the can long into their personal control panel from there and it will also show their (e.g. cPanel user name and password) and they will also have the option to change the password of their account directly from within WHMCS.

I hope this helps

Ahh, that answered my question. No, I did not have any existing user accounts. I thought by importing them all, it would allow them the same password as their cpanel (or something similar).

I think the best thing to do is ask them all to sign up for an account, and then import and merge. I'm assuming if I import AFTER they've created, there's a way to merge, pick and choose which import goes with which existing whmcs account?

Thank you!
