I attempted an auto update the other day and it failed BUT I was able to navigate and update clients/invoices. The a couple days later I went to access and got: Down for Maintenance (Err 3) An upgrade is currently in progress... Please come back soon... I downloaded the full 7.5.1 and uploaded but still getting same error?? Do I upload 7.4.2 or ???
-
I went to access my WHMCS site and see this error. I searched for recent fixes. I didn't put the site in Maintenance mode 7.5.x version attempted update a few days ago but I was able to navigate the site till today? Is there a file to rename or how do we manually remove maintenance? Down for Maintenance (Err 3) An upgrade is currently in progress... Please come back soon...

We have enabled ID protection as a domain add on and want to promote our existing clients, who already have domains registered with us via ENOM. I'd like to email these clients and have them login to their WHMCS account and order the service.... is this possible? Or is it something on renewal we can offer or ??? We auto generate invoices on domain renewals but how do we upsell ID Protection? Thanks for any ideas/suggestions.

We are going to a new hosting company and leaving Hostgator. It's a full WHM export/import of 50 plus accounts. Our name server hosts records will be updated so after the data is copied to the new server it's a matter of a couple IP address changes. My questions are around WHMCS: I'll need a new license I'll need to notify ENOM of the new IP for domain registrations/renewals In WHMCS my server and automation settings will need to be updated. Is there anything else to consider or think about ahead of time?

I think I know what you are saying but let me clarify: My client is setup to bill annually for web hosting. I do a little work for them and add a billable item. I'd like all these to auto-bill/invoice at the end of the month. Am I making sense?
-
So we have a client who pays for their hosting and support annually. As we handle support tickets outside of the agreement we want to use the "Add Billing Entry" in the support ticket but we don't want them getting an invoice right away. I'd prefer they get an invoice at the end of the month. My choices are: Invoice Immediately: don't want this Don't invoice for now: Invoice on next Cron Add to users future invoice: None of these seem like what we want? Or do we add to future invoice and make sure invoices are generated monthly? Our Cron runs every 24hrs so "Invoice on next Cron" won't work??

How to reduced some of the support department email notifications?
bobrandklev replied to bobrandklev's topic in Using WHMCS
Thanks John you were correct I was setup as a BCC. We'll see what happens now I've removed that! -
So a client open a support ticket and our admins get notice... perfect love it. I either reply to the emial or from the WHMCS dashboard I answer the client.... they get a reply .. perfect love it. BUT the problem is: I get an email to notify myself that I replied. A notice the ticket was answered??? I don't need this email I also get an email with a copy of the reply I just typed to the client???? I don't need a copy of what I just typed? This seems too much and I really think it could be my setup not a problem... or I should say a problem with me not the program? ************************************ To add to this we created a private email we can forward emails to as "reminders" to take care of items for clients. Kind of like a to do list. Again problem is we get an email we opened the ticket... ok I'm can understand but now each time we post notes or close we get notices and copies of our replies and closing the ticket. If I go in and work on 5-10 tickets and reply/close and then go to my email there are a lot of emails to simply delete. There has to be a better way?

A few weeks ago we were tweaking user settings and my admin account changed it name, I was locked out and had to restore... thank God for backups. Today I was editing one of my other admin accounts. I'm logged in as Bob and I'm editing Karen as she didn't need to get support emails on tickets in a certain support department. I unchecked the receive emails and clicked save and I was prompted to login and again my admin account wouldn't work?? I logged in as Karen and it changed the Bob admin account to now be Karen so I had two logins? I was able to re-create my account again but this is scary that an account changes like this. For some reason I wondered if Chrome 8 on a Mac is the problem? Anyone else experience anything like this?

I just got back to this today and searched for the above mentioned code in the forums but cannot find it? Any other search ideas or where I can find the code to change client id in options to a drop down client list? Thanks

Sorry let me clarify the Google setup: Let's say my Google email is bob@gmail.com and I setup myself as an admin in WHMCS and also use bob@gmail.com as my account email. Next I setup a private support department called tickets@mywhmcs.com server so when a client sends me a request for help I send/forward that email to tickets@mywhmcs.com and I have it set to auto create a ticket. I can address the problem or one of my people. Problem is WHMCS will not accept and create a ticket from an email that matches the admin account. So it won't take an email from bob@gmail.com because the admin account is also bob@gmail.com. So gmail will accept the "+" sign so in WHMCS I set my email for my admin account to be bob+support@gmail.com. Now the WHMCS system will accept and create a ticket from bob@gmail.com I hope this helps

FYI I was having the same problem, searched the forums, found this post, went and re-read in the installation tutorial again and found my problem. I was testing using my email account which was the same as the email for my account in WHMCS. I tested from a personal email account and it worked perfectly! Another FYI I use Google for my email so I went into my WHMCS admin account and added "+support" to my email name and it worked! So my admin bob@mydomain.com changed to bob+support@mydomain.com Google ignores the "+" but it's good for filters and labels and WHMCS
