Can't select Server on Products/Services page
MonkeyMagic replied to MonkeyMagic's topic in Using WHMCS
Ok - I just realised the link. We have Windows Plesk Servers - so in the Server Setup section, those servers are setup as 'Plesk'. But - on the same servers, we obviously have Plesk Reseller accounts too. So what do we do? -
Can't select Server on Products/Services page
MonkeyMagic replied to MonkeyMagic's topic in Using WHMCS
I just double checked, and it is definately setup. We have new Windows Reseller Plans, and under Module Settings I have selected 'Pleskreseller'. Is that incorrect? -
When looking at the Products/Services page for each customer, for some reason the Server drop down list only has the option for 'None' - instead of all our servers. The problem then, is that all Hosting Welcome Emails don't contain the server information since we can't select the server. This never used to happen before, and I can't figure out why it is happening now. I notice that all our older products still show the servers in the drop down list, but all NEW products have nothing there. Our server list hasn't changed, and I have setup the Server Groups and assigned the product to the relevant Server Group - but still nothing showing in the server dropdown list on the Products/Servers page. Can anyone help?

[NOT A BUG] Custom Domain Renewal Pricing Renewal
MonkeyMagic replied to MonkeyMagic's topic in Troubleshooting Issues
Hi Matt, This would be fine - but there is no option to use a coupon from what I can see. When I log in to the the customer area, click on the domain and then click on the Renew Domain button - it goes to the option of choosing how many years. But then, when I click on the 'Order Renewal' button it goes straight to creating an invoice for payment. How does the customer enter a coupon for domain renewal? -
We have a few clients with multiple domains for which we provide custom pricing. So lets say our normal domain price is $40, they have special price of $35. The $35 is definately recorded on their domain as the price, and if an invoice is generated it works fine. But, if the customer logs in to WHMCS, and manually renews the domain, it show the normal price of $40 instead of their custom price. I have played with this on multiple clients accounts and its always the same. When you try to renew manually, it completely ignores the set pricing on their domain. Any way to fix this as one of our customers has a lot of domains and is having this problem constantly. Help?

Custom Fields blanked after package changed
MonkeyMagic replied to tsiedsma's topic in Troubleshooting Issues
I just discovered on the weekend that we are having the exact same problem. We have custom fields setup for some packages. We changed the package to another package in the series (which has the same custom fields) and after the package change, all custom fields were wiped and we had to contact the customer to get the details again. -
We are trying to create a domain coupon - that is very simple actually. We simply want the coupon to provide 100% discount off any .com, .net, or .org domain. So any customer can come along, use the code, and if they want a .com, its free. Or if they want a .net, its free etc. For some reason, no matter what, it will only provide the discount off the domain type that is the first one selected when i created the Coupon. Take a look at the screenshot attached. You will see the .com is selected, and the .net is selected. So, the freedomain coupon should work if the customer applied the coupon to either of those two domains. On testing, the coupon ONLY works with the .com - it will NOT work on the .net. When i save the changes, go back and edit the coupon again, only the .com is still highlighted. The .net is not highlighted anymore. What am I doing wrong?? Help please!

How to change invoice to Collection status
MonkeyMagic replied to MonkeyMagic's topic in Using WHMCS
Peeeeeeeeerfect - thanks mate. -
Hi guys, For the life of me, I can't figure out how to change the status of an invoice to 'collections'. If you click on the 'Billing' tab at the top, you can see on the left hand side there is a 'Collections Invoices' list. But how do I change the status to collections? Any ideas?

CC details being auto-removed nearing expiry???
MonkeyMagic replied to MonkeyMagic's topic in Using WHMCS
I think deleting cards is a BIG no no! regardless if the CC is expired. If the concern is the cost of the transaction, then the best way to do it is for WHMCS to check the CC expiry date, if it is AFTER the expiry date then the transaction is not passed to the merchant account. As people have mentioned above, we have customers who email and say, its the same card number, but new expiry is XX / XX. With the CC removed, when then have to call the customers (sometimes for days chasing them) just to ask them the CC number we should have already had. -
You could use a coupon that is only given to your affiliate?

A small update to this; I have been speaking with Matt for a quick fix on this, and his reply is as follows: ---------------------------------- It turns out you can already turn this on/off. It's the setting "CC Expiry Notices Date" in Setup > Automation Settings. Set it to 35 and then cards won't be removed. Regards, Matt ---------------------------------- So essentially, we can stop the CC details from being removed by 'turning off' the CC Expiry Notices. This does however mean that clients will no longer receive email notification asking them to update their credit cards. For me, its far from perfect, but I'd rather keep CC details in the system than lose them until a dedicated option is added.
