  1. Ah, thanks pjs32. I forget how you guys like your long weekends over there Hopefully that's the case and I will hear something from them, perhaps tomorrow.
  2. I'm starting to wonder if these guys support their Xero mod. I've sent in 3 emails over the past several days with no response and included an error log. I hope they're all okay. I'm guessing we will see if "David" is still supporting his work or not. Has anyone else had difficulty getting support from outeredge?
  3. I ran into the same issue, but just set the base price to $0.00 instead and placed the 1 year price as it should appear to customers in the configurable options. And did the same for 2-5, this way the customer is at least able to see somewhere what they're expected to pay for the cert before they end up in the shopping cart all confused. This is not ideal, but works.
  4. Hey, this thread is pretty old... there's a solution for this now: https://www.gohigheris.com/our-products/whmcs-autoauth-for-joomla.html and a much more robust paid solution: https://www.gohigheris.com/our-products/jwhmcs-integrator.html the guys there are great...so check it out.
  5. I did want to update this thread. Vers 4.2 seems to have somewhat put a bandaid on this issue by at least giving further explanation for the reason why customers can't upgrade: This seems to make sense to most of my customers, so I'm pretty satisfied. An actual way around this would certainly still be nice though.
  6. I'm currently making good use of the Configurable Package Addon and like many companies in the us, I have invoices set to generate at least 15 days before the payment due date. Because of this, the invoice of course is listed as unpaid and the customer sees "You cannot upgrade/downgrade this account because it is overdue on payment." when attempting to change their service. I understand why the customer sees this message, but I'm trying to figure out a happy medium here. I want customers to be able to make changes and want them to be invoiced a good number of days ahead of the due date. Does anyone have any good ideas for this?
  7. Thanks a ton John. Just repeated the above for each support department to have it appear on all of the department pages. Works like a charm. You Rock!
  8. If you don't know what you're doing with adwords, you can really end up wasting a lot of money. Even if you do know what you're doing, you can still waste a decent amount of money simply because this market is so saturated. Best thing to do is to find a niche market in the hosting industry, get on forums, be helpful, and do seo with high KEI keywords associated with your niche market.
  9. I like many of you have customers who aren't the brightest, so they don't understand why they can't upload certain files (even though allowed file extensions are listed), can't figure out how to zip up a file that has an extension that isn't allowed so that they can upload the file (I have added just about every file extension under the sun), can't figure out why they can't upload a file with no extension, or don't understand why there can't be like 5 periods "." in the file name. So, the problem isn't that they're brainless, it's that I'm not doing enough on my end to "meet them where they are". I know I can add custom fields to support departments, but I am wondering how to add custom text to a support department. As I would like to provide instructions on how to upload files for the not so sharp crayons in the bucket. I have looked around at the template files and can't find where I would add said text for a department either. No luck on finding another thread about this either. Anyone have any ideas?
  10. How would I do this for specific custom fields. I have some fields I still want the customer to be able to edit like "secondary email address" "mobile phone" etc. But I do want to be able to have a link to their joomla administration area and admin user/pass. Any ideas? Oh yeah, I'm not really a coder, so be gentle. I did find the string of code listed above, but don't know what to do with it.
  11. I figured this one out pretty easily a while back and went ahead and cancelled the automated billing.
  12. I'm still pretty new to whmcs, so forgive what is probably a dumb question. I'm using authorize.net as my gateway and am wondering if it is required that I also sign up for Automated Recurring Billing with authorize even though everything is automated via whmcs's billing system? I'm currently signed up for arb and notice that no info is passed over to their arb system when a recurring payment is setup in whmcs. So, I'm assuming the answer is no, it is not necessary. I have read some threads in the forums discussing something about not passing over ccv numbers so thus recurring billing is not possible . . . just a bit confused and I just want to be sure before I disable arb on my authorize account.
