Total disk and bandwidth calculation of WHM reseller accounts incorrect
MH-Stefan replied to MH-Stefan's topic in Using WHMCS
This ticket is old, but starting WHMCS 7.9.1, I'm having the same issue again. Reseller stats are reported correctly by WHM, but WHMCS gets only the usage of the main reseller account. Some reseller accounts have exceeded their total disk usage and are not being billed because of this issue. I've troubleshooted this issue for 2 hours now and can't find any clue. -

Total disk and bandwidth calculation of WHM reseller accounts incorrect
MH-Stefan replied to MH-Stefan's topic in Using WHMCS
Hi John, All reseller accounts are owned by themselves. I ran the WHM API call manually and the stats returned by WHM were 100% correct. The total disk space and bandwidth of all accounts combined was returned. It's only WHMCS that retrieves the stats of the main account only. Besides this, we run exactly the same setup on WHM and WHMCS since several years. There's no reason why the stats would calculate incorrectly overnight, unless something in WHMCS has changed in v6. -
I've opened a ticket at WHMCS regarding this issue, but they insist that it's not a bug and require access to our insallation. I'd rather not provide access due to privacy laws. Since upgrading to WHMCS 6.x, the disk and bandwidth usage of reseller accounts are no longer calculated correctly. With WHMCS 5, the total disk and bandwidth usage of the main cPanel/WHM account and all sub-accounts were included in the calculation. Since WHMCS 6, only the disk and bandwidth usage of the main cPanel/WHM account is calculated. Sub-accounts are not included in the calculation. Since we have overselling enabled, overages are no longer calculated and billed as long as the main account doesn't exceed the limits. Of course this allows clients to use unlimited space without being billed a penny. We lose money and our servers fill up much faster. Did anyone else notice this issue?

I guess those who display the net prices (without VAT) on their website just need to update/insert the VAT rates, as John mentioned. However, companies like mine who are forced by law to include the VAT in their prices either need to absorb the additional VAT, or update the prices of all related clients manually. Since the additional VAT is quite significant in our case, I chose to manually increase the prices accordingly. The most difficult part was to make an Excel list of the clients who live in the EU, then filter out which clients live in a country where the VAT rate is higher and don't have a VAT number. Since a few days, I've been manually updating the prices of those clients based on the VAT rate of their country. I could have automated this process a bit through SQL queries, but the manual path is safer. It would have been much easier if WHMCS had an add-on that would update the prices automatically based on the above conditions. For example if the client lives in a country where the VAT rate is higher, have WHMCS calculate the net price of all his/her services at the current VAT rate, and then add the new VAT amount of his/her country on top of the net price.

You (still) must charge VAT to businesses if they don't have a valid EU VAT number. It wouldn't make sense not to charge VAT if a business isn't eligible for VAT exemption. Consult your accountant if you want to make sure.

Unfortunately, the modules of Franksworld Solutions have been discontinued, but they still can be downloaded at http://code.google.com/p/franksworld -
[NOT A BUG] Registrar configuration page is broken
MH-Stefan replied to MH-Stefan's topic in Troubleshooting Issues
Hi Vox, Thank you, that was the solution to my problem. Forgot to update this thread. I'll add this to our internal list of tasks required for a WHMCS upgrade/update. -
I had the same issue with the domain registrars page and a WHMCS tech was able to fix this by removing a broken domain registrar module.

Hello, The registrar configuration page is broken even since v5.1. The page looks like in the screenshot attached. Main page elements, such as header, footer, navigation, etc. are missing and the input buttons don't work at all when clicking on them. A temporary fix would be to take the configregistrars.php file from older releases. EDIT: The temporary fix doesn't work with v5.2 any longer... This bug must be fixed immediately. Regards, Stefan

[INVESTIGATING] Disk space overage billed incorrectly
MH-Stefan replied to MH-Stefan's topic in Troubleshooting Issues
The value has been set by editing the account in WHM. The custom value is perceived by WHMCS, as it displays correctly under the "Product/Services" tab. Right now the only solution would be to create a separate package in WHM and a separate product in WHMCS with the new limits, but this will clutter the package/product list over time and is hard to keep track of. -
Module: (Digitally) Signed Invoices!
MH-Stefan replied to laszlof's topic in Commercial Modules and Addons
It should work with any digital certificate, but as already mentioned in my previous reply, the nightly cron job fails. If I find a way to fix this, I'll post it here. -
5 days already and the password reset still doesn't work... Hopefully someone from WHMCS will see this thread soon.

Same issue here. I've changed my password the day after the attack, was able to login with it that day, but now it suddenly doesn't work. Tried to reset the password, but the password reset email doesn't arrive.
