  1. Yep , I agree Another thing to look at, "WHMCS proudly announce the release of V6" , which is probably timed for release as the renewal increases. I can see it now when logging in, thanks for installing our latest and greatest V6 where WHMCS has spent much resources in bringing you this "much needed" update / upgrade, but you need to get you hands in your pocket to enjoy it"
  2. Whilst I understand that there is a need for an increase , simply to go from 44.95 to 99.95 for all existing clients is disgraceful IMO. Maybe this should have been introduced for new clients, and then staged for existing ones. I feel annoyed that myself, along with plenty of others have kept with WHMCS, and it seems that we are paying the price for the situation they find themselves in. Is it fair, No. Will I look elsewhere now ? Yes I will be sorry to let WHMCS go , but I am not be held to ransom by the corporate monster
  3. yes . exactly the same as Lance here
  4. We had an issue with the nominet module recently when moving servers for the billing. I can't remember the exact message, but it was similar to the above. Now I now all the firewall and other security was ok , so it was something server specific. I ran a tcpdump and saw the nominet module was trying to communicate over IPv6 , ( my mistake for not disabling it ) , i disabled it, and it all started working fine. Maybe this helps ?
  5. Heart Internet use an api style call, and Matt has a module for it. You will have to pay for it though. Another domain company you can try is monsterdomains.com , I asked these while back but at the time they did not have one, but it was in development. So I assume the more people ask them, then they may do it quicker. It has not bothered me so much now as I joined nominet to make things easier.
  6. Going into the WHMCS MySQL database and finding the relevant WHOIS OPT-out field, this was set to YES, I deleted the YES so it ws left blank. Re-submitted the domain to be registered and it went straight through. I have sent a ticket to support
  7. My nominet module has been ok, and now the latest signup give me an error on registration An Error Occured Command syntax error and thats it. I have checked the domain for spelling, spaces in the fields, my server firewall is good. Now i'm lost and need some pointers before someone actually registers the domain I since have seen the client ticked WHOIS opt-out, is this causing an issue? As I can't untick it now in the client domain admin area. I can untick it , but upon pressing save it just comes back
  8. Adjusted the firewall to allow the nominet IP and port through
  9. Sorry all again. now resolved, my server was blocking port 700 aftera recent update
  10. Hi, I keep getting the error from nominet: An Error Occured Error: Connecting to ssl://epp.nominet.org.uk on port 700. The error message was 'Connection timed out' (code 110) Any ideas would be grateful Regards Steve :: Sorry just noticed wrong thread ,
