  1. The availability of None is confusing, though, and this behavior doesn't seem to be documented that I could see, nor is there an error message.
  2. That would work, but then "None" shouldn't be an option if it can't be used.
  3. I'm trying to change the server for several cancelled hosting accounts to None, so I can delete a decommissioned server. When I change the server to None, however, it automatically changes it to the default server. This seems to be for any status. WHMCS Version: 4.5.2
  4. Is that in all cases, or when the selected billing cycle doesn't exist for the product? If the former, then the option for billing cycle should probably be removed. If the latter, I'd like if the billing cycle selection was dynamic and only gives valid options for the product.
  5. Under Reports, Disk Usage has an option to update immediately. This isn't per-product, though, or even per server. It only does all servers.
  6. I have some existing cpanel accounts that I'm adding to whmcs just to keep track of them. For the client, I "Add New Order", select the webhosting product, set the domain, change the billing cycle to "Free" and set the Price Override to 0. No invoice is generated and the order status is set to Active. When I check the product afterwards, the price is still 0, but the billing cycle has reverted to Monthly. This is with WHMCS 4.5.2.
  7. You can do everything from command line, though. So the module would just need to connect via ssh. Ideally, this would be using an ssh key restricted only to the whmcs host. Even more ideally, there'd be a command on the proxmox server which can get the original ssh command line, sanity check it, and execute it. This would allow restricting the ssh key to a single command.
  8. I personally would rather run a package that I host myself. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of this. Perhaps one day, should I have free time, I'll look into what might be required to integrate WHMCS with LedgerSMB.
  9. You could also just add a custom client field from within WHMCS.
  10. I append '> /dev/null' to the end of the cron job. Someday I may wrap the email pipe script in another script that checks for non-zero or error results, and reports only those.
  11. For the first, it's inconsistent and unexpected, as you can change it to 0 after an option is created. And 0 is sometimes a desired option. For quantities, will the page be changed to no longer say "Leave blank for no limit"? I did try leaving the maximum at 0, with a minimum of 1, but when I tested, it complained that 5 is not between 1 and 0. -1 could work for maximum, if there's ever a case where a very large number is not sufficient.
  12. I've also just noticed that for qty, I can not leave maximum blank, as it says. It defaults back to 0.
  13. When adding a configurable option, if you try to add an option of 0, it ignores it as if it were blank. I tried this with Dropdown and Radio. I could, however, add an option of "none" and then change it to 0.
  14. I'm working on a custom invoice creation script, to be able to handle different payment terms. The biggest problem is cron.php. I don't see a way to have it do everything it normally does except for invoice creation. I do still want it to process overdue notices, credit card payments and expirations, and the like. Does anyone know if there's a way to do this?
  15. I was thinking also that it's due to not needing a very large minimum deposit with enom, but I haven't been able to find info about this on enom's website. Does anyone else have any info about enom's reseller accounts? And if being a whmcs sub-reseller on enom means supporting whmcs, I have no problem with that.
  16. I was just looking at eNom SSL certificate prices, both logged in with a reseller account through WHMCS, and not logged in, and noticed that with one exception, the certificates are cheaper if I am not logged in. The prices I see for GeoTrust and SBS (logged in/not logged in) * GeoTrust RapidSSL: $9.95 / $12.95 * GeoTrust QuickSSL: $69.00 / $74.95 * GeoTrust QuickSSL Premium: $99.00 / $104.95 * GeoTrust True BusinessID: $114.00 / $124.95 * GeoTrust True BusinessID with EV: $399 / $179.95 * GeoTrust True BusinessID Wilcard: $499 / $539.95 * SBS Instant: $14.95 / $18.95 * SBS Secure: $59.00 / $64.95 * SBS Secure Plus: $89.00 / $95.95 * SBS EV: $399.00 / $429.95 * SBS SGC EV: $499.00 / $595.00 As you can see, with the sole exception of GeoTrust TrueBusinessID with EV, all of the certificates are more expensive for resellers. This seems backwards to me.
  17. Currently, whmcs generates invoices on the due date, and a database trigger to add 21 to the due date on the invoice when it's created. This would create, for example, an invoice with an invoice date of Nov. 1, a due date of Nov 21, and for services from Nov 1 to Nov 30. This is to match how things were done before we started using WHMCS, that invoices for the current month go out on the 1st and are due on the 21st. What I'd like to do is to find a way to have it continue to do this for current customers, but for new customers, to bill in advance. eg, if I want it to generate the invoice 21 days in advance, it would be generated on October 11, due Nov 1, and the services would say Nov 1 to Nov 30. Adding a custom field would be the easy part of this. But how could I make it generate invoices one way for some clients, and another way for other clients?
  18. Try it without the 'file:' as part of the filename, eg: {include file='templates/template_name/file.tpl'}
  19. The configuration file is just an ordinary PHP script, so I believe you could put its contents elsewhere and require() the other file.
  20. It's actually fairly easy if you know which tables to look at. The reports mainly just take data and put it in a nice table for you. Take a look at some of the other reports.
  21. Either set SystemURL to http://www.mydomain.com/panel (in Configuration) or edit the script so it goes to that location.
  22. I haven't really done much with coupons or promo codes, myself. The question is how does it register that you have a coupon? I'm guessing it's not passed in the URL. If it's stored as a cookie, then you would just set the cookie from within the script. If it's just submitted as part of a form on one page, then I don't know if it's possible.
  23. Sounds like you want to talk to a lawyer. Or maybe your local Small Business Assocation (or equivalent thereof) could help. Any information you get here is not legal advice.
  24. What competition? And besides, I'm sure features are only part of the reason we all use WHMCS. There's also the fact that the UI is actually usable and works.
  25. I'm surprised no one here has mentioned wireless, which is like being on a hub, only more open. It's trivial to watch someone else's traffic if there's no encryption at the access point, and still fairly easy if it's weak encryption. And wireless is rather common.
