A beautifully simple solution. Thanks. I knew I was missing something simple.
-
I feel like a b00b asking this because I know I must be simply missing a tick box someplace, but for the life of me I cannot find the setting for sending the admin an email when a new person registers. Does this exist, and where is it?
-
The only thing I can think of is possibly hooking it into the ticket system as well? I tend to run all my contact from people through the ticketing area. Ethically I am not sure if that is smart though.

thanks so much.

It should be noted for new users setting this up to make sure to set your new free trial hosting account to "free". While this seems kinda obvious in hindsight, It wasnt clear and it prevented the install for some time for me.

changing the new user registration landing page
columbusgeek replied to columbusgeek's topic in Developer Corner
That is actually for checkout. I am referring to registration only. http://yoursite.com/whmcs/register.php For example I want to be able to have users sign up for the affiliate program. This means I will have people sign up who are not purchasing. The people who sign up end up on the page showing their invoices. Slightly confusing. -
When a new user signs up they land on the invoice page. How can I change this to say the portal home page?

Great tip Rmccny.

Your center and side columns never line up at all. either left is long, or right is long. Never equalized. ITs a pet peeve of mine. ("im pretty sure I have a few not lined up on my site too, so if you go looking...I know. Do as I say, not as I do.)
-
ZYour top links have black as the color for some reason. Too hard to read IMHO. Try maybe a light grey? ececec?
-
There is something funny going on in your footer in the left side. A repeating image possibly? I see it in FF and Chrome. Oh yeah, your copyright is wrong too. If you use php and do it like this it will always be correct.
-
With my browser stretched to over 1200px wide, your contact me link was still partially hidden. I think you have some alignment issues still.
-
I like it. It's not the hosting "norm", which I am sick of looking at. My suggestions are minor. -Your FAQ page links are really small. If it was me, I would pop those up to at least .9em. -You have a lot of links in the client area that send me to login. Why not hide those links until the user signs up to prevent unneeded clicking?

Better check again. Site fails when I try to look at it. I am using FF 3.7a1 on a Mac. http://screencast.com/t/NDMxMGFiZD

Everybody else is doing it, I may as well put my site up here too. I am using Joomla for my main site, utilizing the Morph framework and LeBlanc themelet from JoomlaJunkie. I am using includes in WHMCS and vB and so on to pull in the header, footer and .js code from the Joomla site. I've played with a lot of {if} statements to be able to show specific services to specifc groups of people once logged into WHMCS thanks to info on this forum. None of the user databases are integrated. There is no need for my WHMCS users to be able to edit articles in Joomla. I would like to eventually get the vB users integrated into WHMCS, but it's a low priority. Entire thing took about 2 weeks. I am still doing some tweaking and adjusting, so if something looks wrong, confusing, or difficult, let me know. http://www.columbusgeek.com | http://www.columbusgeek.com/members | http://www.columbusgeek.com/forum

Joomla & WHMCS integration example on my site
columbusgeek replied to cix7medi's topic in Showcase Your Site
Just my opinion, take it for what it is, but I think having the giant full width bit on the client page isnt needed. Same goes for the domain lookup. It puts most of your client area on, or below the fold, thus I have to scroll down on almost every page. If I am in the client area, odds are, I am a client, or in teh process of being one. No need to continue to proclaim the reasons to join. -

I use to search to find my solutions. When I find information that might need updated I pitch in. Sorry, I will stop attempting to be helpful. *shrugs* Could you tell us/me where this checkbox is so it is clear for myself and future search function users?
-
You have to do it in creditcard.tpl as well.

Update your link to this. http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=13927&highlight=remove+issue+number Yours is dead.

thanks Sparky. Your bit of code was perfect for something I needed.

The security question image is a bit...well....tiny. Is this modify-able? It looks like this portion is encoded. All I want to do is get the entire thing bigger.

payment fields not disabling by using -1.00

Gotcha. That does make sense with the clarification. Thanks Sparky. -
payment fields not disabling by using -1.00
columbusgeek replied to columbusgeek's topic in Using WHMCS
That seems to go against logic, since it's not re-occurring it's a one time fee for 6 months. This must be how WHMCS handles it though. *shrugs* I think I have it where I want it now. Thank you. -
Released: vBLink vBulletin Integration 1.0 RC1
columbusgeek replied to rmccny's topic in Third Party Add-ons
Ah this is a shame. I can confirm it doesn't work. I even went so far as to remove all my vbulleitn tables prefixes. (you should prolly mention that in the documentation as well.) I will look forward ot the update.
