Hello Guys, Just checking if anyone else is having this issue/found a workaround. We're trying to use the GetClientsProducts API call and return the results in JSON format. The API comes back with no results. If we leave off the JSON formatting (so the results come back in XML) then we get the proper result. This "looks" like it's an issue JSON encoding the results. We're testing this on a test box with the latest version of WHMCS. I've already opened a ticket, but figured I'd check if anyone else has run into a similar issue. Thanks

How to access alert information from ClientAreaPage hook
ffeingol replied to ffeingol's topic in Developer Corner
Hello, Thank you. I had already discovered where it was in the template code. I'm trying to use Bootstrap badges (based on the severity of the alert) and it just seemed like it would be easier to do in PHP/hook code vs. template code. Worst case I'll do it in the template. Thanks again -
How to access alert information from ClientAreaPage hook

Hello, Yes, I saw that. My issue is getting access to the variable/object that contains the data (sorry, I'm not really a programmer). TIA -
How to access alert information from ClientAreaPage hook
ffeingol posted a topic in Developer Corner
Hello, I'm trying to access the alerts (that are by default in the top/right of the six theme) from the ClientAreaPage hook. I'm pretty sure that they variables are available, but it's just not working for me. I'm looking in particular to access the severity of each alert, but all of the data would be nice. Thanks in advance. -
From what I've been able to figure out so far (reading the forum and digging into template code etc.) I take it that there is no way to customize the home page panels. I'd like (for example) to show recent support tickets differently. I assume I'd have to use a hook to remove the panel and the code a hook to recreate it. I know how to remove the panel (as I've removed several already that we don't use). I'm also pretty sure I can write the HTML to grab what I want. My issues that that I'd like to show a small table (ticket number, ticket subject, status, last activity date). I'm not really sure how template that, since the panels all seem to be in a generic formatting loop in the template. Thanks in advance for any advice.

GMTA. I had dome the exact same thing except it goes to my pushover account as a high priority alert, so it pushes to my phone etc.

Sorry if this has been discussed, but search for assigned or IP is a bit difficult on the forum. We'd like to display the Assigned IPs (the additional IP's) on the client area product details page. From what I can see this variable is not available to the template. Short of a MySQL call to get the data, anyone else have any luck displaying this? Thanks

What exactly does "Enable/Disable" do for a server
ffeingol replied to ffeingol's topic in Using WHMCS
I'm not particularly interested in the server status page (we have our own status page). I'm much more interested in the server drop down lists within WHMCS. Over the past 2+ years we've acquired a lot of other web hosts. We bring their customers into our WHCMS (on their existing servers). When then migrate them from the old server to a server in our data center. When we are done there are no active accounts on the server, but there may be canceled ones, so we we can't delete the server. This has left us with dozens of 'dead' servers in WHMCS that just clog up the server drop-down. -
What exactly does "Enable/Disable" do for a server
ffeingol replied to ffeingol's topic in Using WHMCS
Hello John, Now can you make WHMCS do what the documentation says it does "Disabling a server removes it from the daily usage statistics update (which could fail if a disconnected server was listed as active) and moves it to the bottom of all server dropdown menus." On the WHMCS demo I setup 3 servers (plus the one that was there): - abc (disabled) - default (enabled) - test1 (disabled) - test2 (disabled) If you then go to the orders on the demo system there is an order for a cPanel server. When you look at the drop down for the servers they are simply listed alphabetically and the disabled ones are not at the bottom of the list. -
ENOM SSL Certificate Expiration Notice
ffeingol replied to rodeoXtreme's topic in General Discussion
Ditto on hating the way that WHMCS handles it. Yes, ''technically" you can not renew them, but in practice you just resubmit the same CSR and order another 'new' one. In practice it works very similar to a domain renewal. -
When you setup (or modify) a server there is a check box for "Enable/Disable" (at least for cPanel servers). What exactly does this do? It does not seem to suppress the server name from the list of servers when you go to accept an order and it does not remove the server from the server revenue report. Thanks

From conversations I've been in with other cart vendors PA-DSS is nothing like the 'PCI scan' and it is very long and complicaed. It goes way beyond the requirements listed by NetLink and gets much more into the actual development process, change control procedures etc.

Nice though, but the registrars do not make 'modules' for the 100's of different software that can communicate with their API, they publish the API and let the software vendors integrate. Just so people are aware, Network Solutions work quite differently than most registrars. With most registrars you deposit money and then purchase domains against that deposit. With Network Solutions (at least with bigger customers) you simply purchase 'on account' and they invoice you at the end of the month. Depending on your registration volume that can means thousands of dollars per month difference in cash flow.

We've also been asking for this for quite a while. So far it's been a no.

DuoSecurity coming to WHMCS soon!
ffeingol replied to CuriosityHosting's topic in General Discussion
Care to share what the free ones are and approximate timing for release? -
We had an issue/bug (just shortly after the compromise) and received timely support and a fix.

I also believe that ARIN has a full API for SWIP'ing which might be much better than the email method. Even though it's a pain (and not well documented0 we've found setting up a rwhois server easier.

Hide terminated / cancelled products in client area?
ffeingol replied to crspyjohn's topic in Developer Corner
Yes, we know we could do it all in templates but it would be nice if it was just a feature. Not all clients want it hidden, so we have to add custom client fields that they can check/uncheck and then template code to check how the custom field is set and the suppress the display if needed. That is extra code for data that's already been grabbed from the database. If it was handled within WHMCS the data would have never been selected from the database. -
Hide terminated / cancelled products in client area?
ffeingol replied to crspyjohn's topic in Developer Corner
As far as I know you can't do it, but we'd love to have this an an option that the client could choose. We have clients with large numbers of domains (for example) that are canceled and they would prefer not to see them. If there was a client preference to not display canceled, fraud, terminated services it would be great. -
And being able to see the fraud information for new orders?
-
OK, my bad. I'll check with Kayako.
-
I see it in the markeplace also. I'm on a HTC Incredible. What version of Android do you have?
-
I'm also quite sure that the initial V4 release will be bugging which is why we will not immediately go to it. Having said that we'd still like to know that the WHMCS staff is working on the V4 integration.
-
Hello, With the announcement that Kayako V4 will enter beta this week (http://blog.kayako.com/2010/08/v4-its-alliiiiiveeee/) where does the integration with WHMCS and Kayako stand? We're not going to instantly jump on the upgrade bandwagon but we do need to know that the integration will still work. Thanks

I'd say it depends on your invoice template (the pdf template) and the number of invoices to generate. Our memory is set at 750 GB and it takes many, many (many) runs to generate our 1,800 ish invoices. It's a real pain.
