So, will they be in 5.3.0?
-
that module looks terrible, and won't actually allow you to sell and auto-provision systems.
-
eNom's pricing is actually pretty bad. Resell.biz has the best pricing, however, they do put some stuff in WHOIS, so it's a tradeoff. GoGetSSL has far better SSL pricing as well. eNom's topup policies are just the worst also.

Changes to the use of account credits.
pvanliew replied to Chris74's topic in Service Offers & Requests
I had this situation just yesterday, it would be a very useful feature. -
Hi All, Wondering if anyone knows of a way to have a customer's single product not use the credits they have for automatic invoice payment, and instead have it charge the credit card (they want the other product they have to be the only thing to use the credits). Possible at all without having it be on a different account? Thanks for any help.

I fixed it before you posted I really appreciate that you guys are taking a full and well-thought out approach to the client ordering redesign, but it's been a long time, so long that many people already switched, and with an exodus from HostBill, you could regain and gain new customers if you have something functional and looking good. Even just releasing an existing system shared hosting and VPS hosting "ordering pages" would be a huge draw for you, as it's really the only complaint against WHMCS, since everything else works pretty well. just a plea...
-
HostBill, but the owner/developer in Poland has gone off the crazy deep end and is doing many unlawful things with the software licensing and pricing to us, so even though the client ordering looks fantastic, it just can't be trusted for running a business, so it's VERY important that WHMCS get this new client end done ASAP... it's been 6 months at least, that's a LONG time... or else people are going to other things like Blesta and things, when WHMCS should really be the go-to
-
Yes, that goes without saying. Anyone could spend a ton of time and money to skin WHMCS to look like anything they wanted. This is about the "default" new order pages that are being created, because it is where WHMCS lags behind the competition greatly, and is great to see them finally making progress to improving the product in this area, just trying to get details so we can make decisions about which billing software to keep paying for
-
Thank you for the update! There was just a complete lack of information about the progress anywhere. And I'm glad to see you're taking such a whole-system approach to the design. I just hope we're able to utilize it soon. Even a loose timeline would help, as a lot of people that may be leaving WHMCS due to the horrible default ordering, or those that might be at say, HostBill, but wanting to leave/come back to WHMCS, need to know when/if this will become a reality, to know whether to stick to WHMCS or go elsewhere. I wholeheartedly believe it should be the utmost priority, and will be the biggest showcasing feature to come to WHMCS in 2 years. Really appreciate your work in making it happen! Also, is there an elastic Cloud services configurator, as well as VPS ordering page in the works?

I didn't keep on the mailing list for the new order form pages beta, and was wondering how this is going? It has been a LONG time since it started, and it really should not take very much to get some CSS and ajax going to make us a couple order pages that look modern. The current terrible-looking ordering system is WHMCS' weakest part and why I bought a Host Bill license... which they were putting out new order pages all the time. So does anyone have any updates to the progress with these and maybe when we can expect them?
-
Looks great! What technique did you use to get the integration without iframes?
-
waiting around for WHMCS has gotten unbearable. no update here. no fixes for horrific bugs. stardevelop's is a nice program, but waiting for whmcs to update is inbearable. happy waiting, folks.
-
yes, WHMCS is very insecure by default. hacker's dream. first step is to move the templates, downloads, attachments folders to non-web-accessible directory. instructions can be found in documentation/forums.
-
"Our software looks entirely outdated, we don't plan to do anything about it anytime soon, our main guy's busy with cPanel. Screw you, go pay some other company to make our software not look like trash." to sum that up nicely. as droves migrate away from WHMCS for this and other reasons.
-
start using marketpress and get a feel for it, see what you can do from in there, you may be able to do all that from it. if not, and you use whmcs, whmcs support isn't going to help you at all. and easy? not at all. you will need all sorts of coding to get info from databases and put it in the whmcs database and run hooks from this and that... nightmare. good luck.

So how to use the AfterRegistrarRegistration hook to do SaveDNS to set some A records and MX records?
-
Hi All, ResellerClub/Resell.biz/Logicboxes doesn't appear to have the option to create default Host Records like eNom does, and this is of course essential. Can this be done with a custom Hook to create A records and MX records after a domain is registered? Anyone have an idea how to start? I'm reading documentation, but it's lacking, to say the least, and all of WHMCS' code being obfuscated is f*cking infuriating.

Enom Domain Transfers Submit incorrect Nameservers
pvanliew posted a topic in Troubleshooting Issues
There is a bug in which any domain transfer initiated with Enom, when transferred, has its old nameservers still, and as such stops working. Here is the original report of the bug (from 2008 ) http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?13874-Domain-name-transfer-management-request It was noted that "Old nameservers are also preserved with ResellerClub module. I think that is a new bug from v5.0... That was not working like that before v5." So, to recap, this makes ALL domain transfers completely worthless. Kind of an ENORMOUS bug. With your purported domain reselling partner no less. How quickly can we expect a fix to this? Y'know, just because it renders all transfers useless is all, no big deal. -
So I have a Knowledgebase and some articles, and whether I'm logged in or not, when the Knowledgebase article or even category is clicked, it just stays at that page, it does not open the article. Neither the article or the category is hidden and I even have it set to not have to be logged in. I have tried this in 4 different browsers from multiple locations. Ideas? Another one of hundreds of bugs?

Add to cart and checkout process in WordPress / another site?
pvanliew replied to niravmehta's topic in Developer Corner
i use iframes there must be a better way... -
Nevermind, I did some hunting in the code and found it... /templates/orderforms/(whichever)/configuredomains.tpl at line 25 and onward, the checkbox code: {if $domain.dnsmanagement}<label><input type="checkbox" name="dnsmanagement[{$num}]"{if $domain.dnsmanagementselected} checked{/if} /> I just added "checked" and to change it to: {if $domain.dnsmanagement}<label><input type="checkbox" name="dnsmanagement[{$num}]"{if $domain.dnsmanagementselected} checked{/if} checked /> and hopefully that still triggers the if statement to work, I will need to test, but this looks good...
-
Is it possible to make DNS Management always enabled when people are registering a domain? (or any Free Domain add-on for that matter) It only makes sense, and if people forget to check it, that causes problems. Anyone know of a way? Thanks.

Hello, Is there the functionality to process the md5 hash responses from Authorize.net? Thank you.
