I have current customers with credit card info stored in whmcs. I would like to switch away from that and use stripe so that all cc info is stored in stripe. Here’s what I did: 1. Added stripe to whmcs payment gateway 2. Removed paypal, it asked what payment method to switch all users to and I selected stipe. 3. I went to a customer unpaid invoice, tried to capture the payment and received an error message: Stripe payment Error error => Sending credit card numbers directly to the Stripe API is generally unsafe. To continue processing use Stripe.js, the Stripe mobile bindings, or Stripe Elements. For more information, see https://dashboard.stripe.com/account/integration/settings. From the whmcs stripe module page here is what it says: “With Stripe Elements, sensitive card details never touch your servers simplifying PCI requirements, making it easier and faster for you to meet PCI Compliance.” It looks like the card data API can be enabled in Stripe but I would need to fill out a bunch of PCI compliance paperwork with stripe and I don't really want to mess with that. I would rather have stripe handle the payments, store the cc info, etc. How can I achieve that? Do I just delete all customer saved CC data, send a mass email telling them that they will need to checkout via stripe, and then stripe will store the info and auto charge it next time? Please let me know how I can transition from paypal to stripe and allow users to pay and store info at stripe. Thanks for your help.

OK thanks for the info. We'll be tracking a lot of data and probably have to go the custom route too. -

So they helped you custom code something that would send the data to Google sheets? Or did they have something available already? I'm trying to decide how to move forward and looking for the best solution that would provide full automation. -

Did you find a solution? I'm working on a huge saas project and we use whmcs for web host billing and saas billing. Trying to take billing data and move it over to mixpanel or another tracking tool so I can view data/graphs in one area. Segment is probably the best option for that. I thought about purchasing report generator by modulesgarden but they are really pushing metricscube so I have a feeling they will phase out updates and support for report generator soon. There's no way I would pay $70/mo just to see my billing report data with metricscube. Considering switching billing systems or having a custom coded api build that will send data from whmcs to segment. -
I see. So is it possible to have WHMCS handle the payments and activation/deactivation of clients on my saas service or is there a better solution? Hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to custom code that in so whmcs would handle payment and send signals to my web app to activate/deactivate client accounts based on their payment status.

I'm getting ready to set up WHMCS with the licensing add-on and plan to do a free trial. Ideally I would like a button "Start my free trial" on my website and it would take the person to a form to fill out (name, email, company name, phone... This would then start their 30 day trial. 1 week before and 3 days before their trial ends I would like them to receive an email explaining they have 1 week or 3 days left before the trial expires with a link to purchase page. If user wants to pay before the trial ends I would like them to be taken to a checkout page that 1. collects a setup fee $299 and 2. Set them up for recurring monthly payments (they can pay monthly or annually with a discount). If user is late on the payment they would get an email saying they are late. If user is X days late on payment the account would be terminated like it is now with website packages. Is this possible to do with the WHMCS licensing add on and Free Trail feature?

I'd like to remove the Australia option from the country options in the checkout page. Where can I do this at? I have access to the whmcs folders but can't find the one that lists the states/countries.

Checkout cart is all messed up after patch any suggestions?
letsurf replied to letsurf's topic in Troubleshooting Issues
Uploading the newest patch sent from support and it didn't resolve the issue. I actually spent 3 hours on the phone with hostgator my host provider yesterday and they fixed my entire whmcs shopping cart as well as updated from 4.5 to 5.03 for me. I've never seen such great support, especially since they fixed a problem for a product that wasn't even theirs... -

@bear When you say "on one install that isn't fully up to day" do you think if I update my cart it will fix the issue? -

When I checked my language is set on Turkish but it won't change to English when I click save it goes back to Turkish. Downloaded the english.txt file and copy/pasted the content to the turkish.txt file and re-uploaded the turkish file but still didn't fix the cart. Wow this sucks so bad because I just launched a huge promotion which was sent to my mailing list not knowing my cart was broke. This error just lost me thousands of dollars...
