  1. So, just to update for anyone else who runs into this issue... this is actually how WHMCS is supposed to bill support billing entries. Response from WHMCS support below, have requested a workaround and will post info on that as/if it becomes available. Hi Christopher, Thank you for the clear explanation of your issue. This is the desired and expected behavior in WHMCS. The invoice generated for billable items and support ticket billing entries are supposed to be due as soon as they are generated. The option on the Automation Settings page relates to Product Renewal invoices and manually created invoices. Any new order invoices, support ticket billing entries are due immediately when they are generated. Hope it clears it up. Do let us know if you need any further assistance. Best regards, -- Sachin Technical Analyst I WHMCS, Ltd. www.whmcs.com
  2. Thanks again Steven for the quick reply... definitely a bug in our rug somewhere. Going to remove standard/existing whmcs files and replace with new ones from source.. if that doesn't clear this up, will open a ticket from there!
  3. Thanks Steven, sounds like there's a bug in my rug... Have had automation set for 10 days out on new invoices for years and just assumed it wasn't applied for support tickets for some reason.. Just revisited and changed it to 15 in case the update fixes, will report back tomorrow on that and move this over to a whmcs support ticket if it doesn't work. Appreciate the quick reply and info on some of the hooks for additional customizations too!
  4. Is there any way to setup the default WHMCS Support Module billing due-dates for invoices generated? Currently when selecting "create on next cron run" the invoice is generated with a due date that is one day before the invoice date (ie: invoice created 1/1/2019, due date 12/31/2018). Few sidenotes/related things - this due date before invoice date issue also seems to break the auto-cc processing from happening - would be nice if the billing entry auto-applied the ticket number and link by default
  5. a lot of action here... we have been very happy with HostGator's reseller program for the last 5 years. For a second let's assume that the deal is going through... If things do go downhill it will be gradual, so let's start planning. Other good hosting companies out there? Have a 'backup' account with startlogic. They use a special 'vDeck' control panel that is not WHMCS compatible.
  6. 2 years later, same situation. I think we need to ditch the vdeck. To be clear, WHMCS is amazing... vDeck, not so much.
  7. Is there any way to automatically associate support tickets with a project? Also, on a similar note, is there any way to setup "re-occurring projects"? We have some monthly contract clients and it would be great to setup reoccurring projects for these accounts. If there isn't this option, is there any documentation available on the available action hooks for the WHMCS PM add-on? Thanks!
  8. Would love to know more about this too... like adding fields, associating with clients based on subject line, ability to automatically associate with project management add-on, etc. Thanks!
  9. this link is dead... any feedback on how it works with 5.0.x?
  10. Realistically speaking, NO. You can set a custom field and add that field to the view tickets template, but in the general overview, there is no way to do 3 key things. 1. Set Due Date 2. See Who it's for (from the main ticket page) 3. Quickly Assign to team members (you have to click into the ticket, then click options... kinda clunky) You can customize the ticket view so that it alleviates some of this, but it still leaves the main list overview page without.
  11. Hi we are hoping someone can customize the WHMCS quotes and invoices to match those that we are currently using... Currently they are in .docx or .pdf, but here is a screenshot for quoting pricing. Note: we already wrote a custom template that queries the database and includes the "payments" information field, so do not worry about figuring that part out. It's working with design in TCPDF that we're having issues with.. Thanks, Topher - topher [the at symbol] crownpointdesigns.com
  12. BigT, you rock! I was trying to find some documentation on doing the same thing and ran accross your post. Worked like a charm. Thanks again!
  13. We are a san diego based web design & internet marketing company and primarily use WHMCS for invoicing. Would love feedback. Also, does anyone know of an easy (not using the TCPDF documentation) way to re-skin the quotes and invoices? 14. Hi, does anyone know of a good script and/or way to auto-import (and create if possible) accounts from a vDeck based hosting platform into whmcs? I have searched around the net a bit and haven't even found too much information on vDeck... It looks a lot like cPanel. Thanks!
