decor
hello, I can not get my head around overages billing. what do i need to set in whm to get it to work properly a typical site has Disk Usage: 97 MB, Disk Limit: 300 MB, 32% Used :: BW Usage: 735 MB, BW Limit: 4000 MB, 18% Used (Last Updated: 13/11/2009 06:02) The plan should be a 100mb disk space and 2000mb data plan, so i want to allow billing over that, but i find that i need to set plans in whm higher otherwise they suspend the site. whmcs soft limits are set at 100mb disk and 2000mb data. what have i missed? thanks ian
sparky
First off you will need root access to WHM You need to log into WHM and go to tweak settings Under Notifications you will find this Disable Suspending accounts that exceed their bandwidth limit (will clear all suspensions if disabled, and disable all bandwidth notifications.)Put a check in the box and save. That will get the important one, set the limits in WHMCS and the customer will be billed for excess bandwidth at the end of the month. As for disk usage I am not sure about in WHM (yet) Edited November 12, 2009 by sparky

sparky
Looking over the WHM settings (about 3 times) and searching the cPanel forums I could not find anywhere to be able to disable it like the bandwidth suspension. At the end of the day, I think that the disc limit is actually that, a limit. You could set the account on WHM to be "unlimited" disk space and then in WHMCS set the billing limits for the disk space. Then the server won't stop at the limit and the client will just be billed for whatever they go over the WHMCS billing limit. When the client logs into there cPanel they will see that their disk limit is set at "unlimited" but hopefully they will be aware that they will get billed for excess usage from the limit set in WHMCS. If anyone knows of a different way then please post.
decor
just tried it with unlimited diskspace in whm, and no success. Seems that diskspace billing in cpanel does not work. Matt can you sched any light on diskspace overages billing ? Whmcs result for the account is as follows: Disk Usage: 23 MB, Disk Limit: Unlimited MB, BW Usage: 46 MB, BW Limit: 2000 MB, 2% Used (Last Updated: 15/11/2009 06:00) thanks ian
