Subject: Password Rules Update

Dear OnlineNIC Partners,

This notice is to inform that there will be updates to the registration system, relating to domain name password complexity during registration process, according to new rules by domain registries VeriSign and PIR.

The updates will impact Reseller Control Panel and users who are using OnlineNIC API and Template3.0/4.0. Please view the update below for the detailed information.

The updates which will be applied from 2009-11-9 can be found below.

The validation rule will be applied for the password element when a new domain name is being added (new registration). And the extensions affected are Com/Net/Org and their IDN.

The password will need to have at least eight characters consisting of one number, one alphabet and one special character.

The characters listed below are the only characters that will be allowed in the password.

No space character(s) is allowed in the password.
