mikelegg
Regarding the "Domains Configuration" page ... What is the customer expected to enter in the "Registrant ID" field? It's not their ABN/ACN etc. as it looks to me that this data should be entered in the "Eligibility ID" field.
mikelegg
If I look at the "Registrant ID Type" field it looks like it IS the ABN/ACN etc which is then repeated below in the "Eligibility" section. Can someone explain the purpose of this to me, so that I can add some text that explains it to my customers?
mikelegg
Let me put this a different way ... Under what circumstances would the Registrant ID/Type differ from the Eligibility ID/Type?
mikelegg
I think I might have worked this out ... The "Registrant" fields contain the details of the legal entity to which the domain will be registered. In most cases this would be the same info as the "Eligibility" fields. But if you select "Domain name is an Exact Match Abbreviation or Acronym of your Entity or Trading Name" and your eligibility is based on your trading name and it differs from your legal name, you must enter your trading name details in the "Eligibility" fields. I guess it wasn't obvious to me since I just use the close and substantial rule in these cases.
