Welcome Andrew, glad you took up my recommendation on A1 ;)

Take a look through the features of WHMCS here, http://www.whmcs.com/features.php, and you will see that it should work nicely with what you want to do.

You don't have to go as far as the system can manage with hosting plans etc but ti will certainly make domain management a lot easier.

For a more detailed answer:

Setting up a way for you to offer domain name registrations through WHMCS couldn't be simpler. Firstly, you should set up a domain name reseller account. To do this you should familiarize yourself with some domain registrars along with the features and pricing.

Many of the users here have accounts through eNom and Reseller Club, these are very popular and if signing up for an account through WHMCS, it will not cost you a registration fee. The only costs involved are the services you sell, whether they are domain names, live chat solutions or secure certificates.

Once you've chosen a registrar, you can then enter your account information inside WHMCS Admin area and this will then automate the process for you and your Clients, providing you have entered all the TLD's and your pricing structure first, and then you're ready.

It's as simple as that and can be set up in less than half an hour!

Remember: Sign up for a domain name reseller account through WHMCS and the registration is free
