GORF
This is a combination request for help and a rant . I searched the forums, did not find anything that helped, so I put in a support ticket. Here is the problem: -I have 2 reseller accounts setup in WHMCS - server1 & server2. -Both are setup with username, password, accesshash and Use SSL. -WHMCS is installed on an account on server1. -All WHMCS functions work on server1. -All WHMCS functions work on server2 EXCEPT importing of disk usage. Here is the support thread: ME I have 2 reseller accounts setup as server1 and server2 by IP.All functions work except Disk Usage Summary for server2. Any clues? WHMCS We have run some tests on this and the reason the stats aren't importing from the second server is a firewall. The actual error occuring is: (Curl Error) couldn't connect to host - code: 7 This indicates that the remote server you are trying to connect to has a firewall rule blocking the ports 2086/2087 for incoming outbound connections and that will need to be adjusted to allow it. (I have never seen a Curl error 7 as of yet) ME My NOC ensures me those ports are open.If they were blocked, none of the other functions would not work. Is that correct? (Simple question?) WHMCS No. It's just the second server that has the ports blocked not the server WHMCS is on. And it will be stopping all API communications from working to that server - not just the importing of disk usage. (Didn't I already say "All functions work except Disk Usage Summary for server2"?) ME WHMCS can create, suspend, terminate accouts etc. on server2.All API communications work EXCEPT importing of disk usage. Everything works except that. The only time I see the Curl error 7 is if I do not use SSL connection. That happens with both servers. WHMCS This would mean that just port 2086 is blocked as that's the http:// port and port 2087 is used instead when SSL is enabled. At this point, I want to scream!!! How many times, how many ways do I need to say: All API communications work EXCEPT importing of disk usage. After all of this, I am thinking the update script seems to be hard-coded to use 2086 and all other scripts will use 2086 or 2087 depending on the admin setting. Is it me? Am I not communicating my problem effectively? Did I not say server2 works EXCEPT for 1 function? Did I not get straight answers to straight questions? </rant>
mikelegg
I'm having a similar problem ... the usage summary appears fine for accounts on the same server as WHMCS but doesn't appear for accounts on other servers. Yet account creation works on the remote servers. Edited November 13, 2009 by mikelegg Me fail english, that's unpossible
GORF
In the end I got a "I don't know why." answer from WHMCS. I bugged by provider and they found some settings on their end (timeouts?) that corrected the problem.
blymp
That's exactly happening with me too!! With previous versions of WHMCS it used to work just well, but now seem not working anymore, which sucks because how the heck you going to be answering client tickets because of that missed info. mikelegg
Mine started working for no apparent reason. I was fiddling with the firewalls and it didn't appear to make any difference, then I checked again later on and the resource usages were showing. Now, to get it to working with Plesk !
