1 WHMCS install working for 2 different domains?

I'm going to post a question that a client sent me that I was hoping I could get some help answering.

One quick question for you. What would it take to change the name and domain of my hosting business? Or would it be possible on the same whm account to have another cpanel using the same whmcs account for hosting under another name. The reason for this is I might secretly buy out another hosting firm, but they don’t want there clients to know to much besides a small name and server change.

Any help with this question would be appreciated!

Thanks - Mike

Be open with all the clients as if they find out you did not tell them 100% about it they will probable leave you.

the only way is by

1. using the url to take them to a different template but ha why would you look to buy a hosting site if the client's are not paying you some think?

2. Best thing to do it get a 2nd WHMCS.

3. Use 2 website and one support (WHMCS) and then use the API to put the orders in WHMCS then tell your clients you are making a group site, Support and billing and tell the new clients the new name (ie the group name).

But if you do not tell the new client they will find out as it is not that hard to do a look up of a server to find out the host and the name server's.

depends on if it isa registered legal entity ...

>and domain

just register a new one ...

yes, with clever use of the templates, but on 1 domain (more domains = more licences required)

>The reason for this is I might secretly buy out another hosting firm

mergers & acquisitions shouldnt be "secret"
