ravotech
This product sounds interesting... But my question is, why would clients be interested in signing up for an account on our joomla? A client looking for webhosting, would usually sign up for the package he is interested in through WHMCS. The ideal of integration between whmcs and joomla sounds great, but I still don't understand how it could benefit my business apart from having the templating work done on one place (joomla)?

Depends on your business model, I suppose? If you have an interactive section of joomla/drrupal where your customers can make comments to a HOWTO post, etc, and you have something that increases the weight in an xml feed for search engine ranking..... $$$
Inetbiz
Not currently, but that is an excellent idea Maybe I would suggest smaller price amounts for additional connector plugins. Add Drupal connector to your order, wordpress, etc.
davet
Is a trial version available yet? I don't have any problems paying $120 for the component if it works as intended and doesn't cause any security issues but I wish there was a trial before I commit to spending that much. Yes it is a pricey component but is worth the investment in my opinion if it works as described. If you feel it's too expensive try integrating Joomla and WHMCS yourself and see how much time it takes you. Time is money.

davet
I heard from the developer that the trial version should be available at the end of the month when a new version comes out that should also be easier to install and have more features.

markholland8
Hi Steven, This is long overdue however my issue is the price. Yes it is a great a add-on and i will probably buy it however it is one of the most expensive Joomla add-ons on the market and as most hosting companies and web development companies are run by one person on a shoe string budget this could price a lot of people out. As good as it looks i have spoken to a few friends that run hosting companies and they have said they will wait until the price comes down. One thing that should really be considered is like the iphone apps that cost 59p and 1000's of people buy it rather than £9.99 and 2 people buy it. However the add-on looks fantastic and i will be buying it well done stephen. Thanks Mark
railto
As was already mentioned it is all to do with what you value your own time at. I was very put off by the price tag but to be honest it has saved me so many problems. If I am doing a callout I bill at approx $80 per hour, so at that price it works out at 1.5 hours of work to pay for the module, and for me to write something suitable myself would take me about 75 hours of solid coding time at least, that works out as $6000. Simple math will tell u that by paying $120 for this I have saved $5880 as well as 75 hours of my time
markholland8
Ok, look at it from this point of view, if your the developer and you charge $80 per hour and it has taken you 75 hours to develop and test the mod. Only 75 people need to buy it worldwide at $80 and it paid for (Hope this makes sense) But i think because this add on looks so good you will make much more plus the installation fees. For Example i have the "Jadmin" app on my iphone and it cost me £5.99 now it didnt take the developer 10 minutes to build the app im shure it took him many 10's of hours but if i and 1000+ people buy it thats £1000's for the developer. Do you see i think by dropping your price you would sell much more copies but i guess its up to you. Im not slating the add on as i thinks it looks great and i will buy it but i think you have outpriced many potential customers. Try an find me 10 joomla add-ons that cost this much or more you will struggle believe me. Remember also you rely on the community to work for you by testing an reporting bugs. Also there are other options. such as support subscriptions on a 1/3/6 month and yearly basis. I have developed a few joomla apps in the past and know a little about marketing a product. Anyway it is a great add on but i just thougt i would get my point accross. Mark - www.159webdesign.com
railto
I am not defending the price that the developer has set, what i am doing is saying that from my point of view it is easier for me to pay $120 to get a pre-made module rather than spend 75 hours and lose a potential $6000. It all depends on what you value YOUR OWN time at, for me its about $80 an hour, so spend what i make on 1.5 hours to get this makes a hell of a lot more sense than spending 75 hours and the money i will lose in that time.
Rob K
I would pay the price asked if I could get a trial version first. $50 I would buy it and hope for the best, $120 I would like to see it working first.

Mindvision
Hi I'm using this product. In my opinion it is worth the money. This tool will save you many hours modifying WHMCS to match your Joomla templates.

markholland8
If you run a hosting website or just offer the service you can not afford to be without this set of extensions. It is the best extension i have ever purchased and not just the the support i received from Steven was 10/10. Don't look back in a year or so and think i wish i had of bought it, its just too good to miss.

davet
Version 2.0 is available now. I had some problems with the component which included new client registrations not getting matched properly between WHMCS and Joomla... but with the persistent help of Steven Mueller (the developer) we got it fixed and working. This is a must have component unless you want to manually edit the WHMCS templates every time there is an upgrade to them. Our integration can be seen at http://interactiveonline.com
ivaserver
Wow! well done Steven, you know you have a great product when it can save someone loads of work for $120 Trouble is, you have built up massive desire but not made it affordable to some. Thats why they're angry. (they need/want it but can't have it) It might be an idea to let some people pay in installments and maybe charge them a little extra for your trouble. $120 one off or $50 per month for 3 months Surely none can argue that something that save so much time is overpriced at $120
