Customized Income Report Wanted

Is it possible to run a report that would allow us to get the end of the month sales and income but having it sorted by the Product Group? For example, I want to know how much income was made from the Shared Hosting Group for a set period of time such as current month, last month, etc. or able to generate the report based on a custom date range. We want to run this for each of our groups.

 

I have searched the threads but have not found anything like this. Is it possible? And, if so; does anyone want to write the module, we would be interested in paying for it.

I'm also looking for something like this, but done by product, not just product group. Could someone help me put one together?

It's actually fairly easy if you know which tables to look at. The reports mainly just take data and put it in a nice table for you. Take a look at some of the other reports.

Unfortunatelly I'm no programmer...

That's what I'm doing, looking at the other reports, trying to make something out of the order report. But I'm not sure which tables I need to use and how to get the info from them correctly. A little more guidance would help and I'll be really grateful.

I've fought with this code for hours to try and get this exact report, I don't think I know enough about it to get it to sort ONLY by group and not display the products. I found one someone made that does something similar, but I can't figure out how to make it display the Product Groups only not the individual products and the grand total for each billing cycle.. Ideally, I'd like it to be a graph, but anything will work ok.

 

Would appreciate it if someone could help us with this.
