Custom menu in portal template

I have this difficulty and i dont know how to deal with it.

It must be quite simple but anyway,in the Portal Template when someone "mouse over" the links, their color change. Now, i added a custom menu (my website`s top menu) to the whmcs`s portal header template but it gets quite the same property as the links and gets modified and even when is not touched,it looks different.

How do i do so the menu gets displayed "as is" -a simple ".gif" made menu , without the gif .tabs to get modified ?

I know it must be a simple CSS or javascript thing and i looked all over the google but cannot find an answer :?

If someone can provide an example of code i should add before the menu .gif tabs and/or to CSS it would be great.I know i can iFrame the menu but i dont quite want that.
