Non domain product?

I want to sell a service that is not related to a domain, yet it does need to do provisioning. It just needs to be able to create a service with a username and password (its fine if those are auto generated). It has nothing to do with a domain. Ive noticed that even when selecting the product type as other, it still has the domain option in the admin, product details, etc. Basically the only thing the user is giong to pick during the order process is the package and maybe a couple config items (more like addons, but i hate how addons work).

Am i missing something or am i just stuck with the domain junk?

when you add a product below the description is a tick box "require domain" make sure this is unticked, then when the product is ordered this will just take the buyer to the product and will not ask for any domain etc.

Nope, neither of those have anything to do with the admin area fields or what is shown on the product details page. Its just doesnt prompt them for registration options during the order, which is good and i knew about, but doesnt really help. =/
