Jake09
Hello all. I've read through every topic on the issue of Enom Retail Accts and WHMCS. But still I have some questions. I've read that since I have an Enom Retail Acct provided by my Reseller package, I'll lose some Enom functionality and have to do everything manually. That's not a problem. But here is what I'm unclear about. By stating I need to do things manually, 1. does manually refer to clicking the Accept order button and WHMCS will send the domain registration request to Enom OR 2. does manually refer to me having to go to enomcentral.com and logging into my retail account and purchasing the domain from outside WHMCS? If the second is the case: Would I use my clients contact info for the registration while at the same time using my credit card for the purchase? And how would myself and my client get notified of renewals? Would I still configure WHMCS to notify my client with an invoice, have them pay, then renew it at enomcentral.com with my card again? Thanks for any answers. There's no testing environment for retail accnts so I have to ask these questions. Please no answer," Get An Enom Reseller Account" Thank you
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 10, 2009 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 10, 2009 It's 2. Retail account means they don't let you use their API. So everything is done manually and you won't be able to use any of the Enom automation or management feature in WHMCS. They will be set to registrar none and To-Do entries will be created in the WHMCS To Do list when you need to carry out actions. Best thing to do is get yourself a reseller account and you can do that from the Domain Reseller Accounts link inside our client area homepage. othellotech
By stating I need to do things manually, 1. does manually refer to clicking Manually means manually - you have to do *everything* for the domain registration yourself at the enom site. Would I use my clients contact info for the registration while at the same time using my credit card for the purchase? Yes And how would myself and my client get notified of renewals? Client - through your WHMCS, you would then *manually* renew it when they pay you, as the enom account holder you'll also get reminders Please no answer," Get An Enom Reseller Account" You'll come around
