[NOT A BUG] compare valiables

I'm trying to display a text or another, depending on whether the client has any debts, but the comparison is not working. How can I do?

 

{if $invoice_total_balance_due < 1}

text 1

{else}

text2

{/if}

 

Also tried the following ways but neither worked:

 

- {if $invoice_total_balance_due neq "$0.00 AR"}

- {if $invoice_total_balance_due neq "$0.00AR"}

- {if $invoice_total_balance_due neq "$0.00 USD"}

- {if $invoice_total_balance_due neq "$0.00USD"}

 

Also tried to enter the direct comparison on the database, so that the rich text is not corrupting the script, but it was not that either.

use "eq" instead of "neq" and it will work.

 

{if $invoice_total_balance_due eq "0"} etc..

 

This is not about whmcs, this is about smarty template engine.
